SOTD for today after getting a sample with my Au Coeur du Desert bottle the other day. Really like it and has lasted extremely well, not projecting strongly but staying there and quietly noticeable with the occasional waft after ten hours now. Probably the most wearable church style incense scent I've found to day even to the point I'd consider buying it later in the year if I still like it as much then.

Out of all the niche frags people would want to obsess over and clone infinitely, I've never understood why Aventus is every normie's favorite - is it just the high price/the celebrity marketing? Sampled a 2018 batch a few months back and wasn't super impressed, have batches really made that big a difference or is it just the reformulation autists nitpicking? I'm a big fan of Bois du Portugal and Millesime Imperial, but I certainly don't see the same level of minute batch discussion about them.

Damn Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne is fairly snice. I didn't particularly like the opening first spray, thought it was a fucked lemon but I've resprayed now and it's actually a decently realistic grapefruit. I've just never eaten a grapefruit in my life and couldn't readily identify it. Might not be a realistic grapefruit as I don't know much about grapefruits. Smells like unadulterated fruit though, not an impression of a fruit. Tart. Nice. It's dried down into a really nice sweet woodiness now that I'm really enjoying. Can't pinpoint the almond at all but thats presumably where the sweetness is coming from. A lot more masculine than I'd been anticipating. Thanks for the recommendation folks, excited to see where this goes.

I still prefer Eau Sauvage. Eau de Rochas is much more dated. The Homme flanker not so much but there's still some dustiness around it that Eau Sauvage doesn't have. An hour after spraying Rochas Homme turns more soapy whereas Eau Sauvage stays snice herbal-citrusy. >Armani Acqua di Gio Profumo

Got my Prissanas! Fuck, this stuff is snice! Ma Nishtana is resinous and spicy, rich, and smoky, yet not too heavy. You could actually probably wear it during summer. Buddy, we all know that it's mostly you posting that because even the wording is the same every time, so stop pretending that it's some well accepted consensus here. There are some Montales and Manceras that are a bit synthetic but they're nowhere to be dogshit and the best of their frags are amazing. Also how ridiculous it is that you try to convince him that it's dogshit after he already smelled it and liked them and to be mad about it. I can tell from a mile that you're one of these faggots who try to spread their uninformed opinions in these threads by repeating the same thing over and over again. Hey anons, im new to fragrances so i come here for an expert opinion. I am fairly new to fragrances and am sorta limited to designer fragrances due to where i live. I tried Dior Sauvage, Chanel egoíste, Jean Paul Gaultier( the one where the bottle has a leaf covering the dick) and Versace Eros Flame. I like the Chanel one the most but my girlfriend says im too young to pull it off. And even tough i have not tried it i am curious about acqua di gio profumo. Wich one shoul i get? Eros, Sauvage, Jean Paul or Acqua di gio? If these are pleb fragrances can someone recommend a fragrance thats also sweet and fresh?

ADG Profumo is the classiest of the lot. It’s one of my favourite of the mainstream designer scents. That said, you absolutely shouldn’t buy it without trying it. You should never buy a fragrance without trying it on skin to see how you like it. You might light it at first, but walking around with it all day you might get tired of it.

You could always try Dior Homme. Although a lot of people hate the new version, it’s perfectly nice in its own right. Nothing special, but maybe you and your girlfriend will like it.

Always try fragrances on skin. You have to remember that big designer fragrances have a big focus on “top notes”, which, if you don’t know, is basically how it smells when you first spray it. It’s designed to be appealing to people just trying it in the shop and making an impulse purchase. Spend some time with fragrances before deciding. Next time you go shopping spray one on, walk around see how you like wearing it and then decide.

>> No.15296029

>>15296027
Thanks for the advice anon. What i usually do is just assume the perfume on your skin is much softer and nuanced then the first note and judge from there but i really should be more patient and try them on me and see how they develop.
