Yeah, creating is unavoidable unless you walk like a duck or use those awful wearable shoe trees.. Even then creases on the side are going to happen.

ULTRA-Pro tip: Pre-crease your shoes the first time you try them on.

What I mean by this, is some creases look better than others. I don't care if shoes crease but it's annoying when they don't crease evenly.

What I do is the first time I put the shoes on, I guide the initial creases with my fingers while squatting and giving the shoes a hard crease in the places I like most.

Boom... from that point, that's where the shoes will crease. Much preferable to weird uneven creases.

Absolutely. It's kinda silly but each crease and stain or whatever was made by you so it makes the shoe feel more personal, at least for me. That's also the reason why I hate artificially distressed clothing.
