it is hard to look "effay" (etc) when wearing a dress because it makes for a pretty simplistic outfit (unless you're great with accessorizing) but I think dresses can really bring out women's natural beauty
to be fair, dress fits might not be the best for inspo since you basically would have to go out and buy that same dress if you want to replicate the essence of a fit

I prefer to dress more modestly as well. >>15283756 is right, fiber content will be your savior. Look for 100% linen or linen/cotten blends. You can find a lot of knee to ankle length linen and cotton skirts (my summer go to) out there. Just make sure with cotton you are going for light weight cottons. Stay FAR away from anything polyester. Shoot long sleeves in summer are even doable so long as the fiber content is good.
