I want a watch with the best countdown timer in the world.

I don't care if it loses 5 minutes a day, all I want is something where I can comfortably set anywhere from a minute to an hour on a timer within about 2 seconds, and when it's done it vibrates on my wrist silently.

Depends, are you riding for real or just to the pub and back home? If for real then any G-Shock, I'd take a square with bull bars and a NATO/elastic strap you can get over your glove so that you can just keep it on the glove when you take it off.

Big huge ones like Rangeman/Mudmaster/whatever if you're actually doing serious touring and such.

Oh yeah, the mechanical? A Rolex of your choice to keep in your vest pocket until you get off.

Lads, I need your final advice before I pull the trigger.

I'm the anon that used to have a blue Orient Mako 1 that got stolen.
-I've decided I don't want the Seiko SKX007, because it is too expensive at the current price of 285 euro
-I don't want the new Seiko 5 sports diver, because they aren't a proven reliable watch, even though they're only 180 euro.
-I don't want an Orient Ray, because I prefer the Mako...

So that leaves me with the Orient Mako 2 with a black dial. Black because I already had the blue, and I feel blue is out of fashion and replaced by green (just like the Rolex Submariner Hulk that is now extremly popular). Besides that I feel like black is the most versatile for me, a guy with only a few watches.

It's only 136 euro. Do I pull the trigger or not?

I think that is literally the perfect watch for everyday riding, but as it tends to go with bike gear in general, it's a bit unwieldy when you get off. Personally I wouldn't wear any expensive mechanical watches while riding even in my pocket, and definitely not on the wrist since sleeves come up and gloves come down very easily even when you fall while literally parking the bike. If you really want a mechanical beater, it also depends whether you're planning on wearing it between the glove and jacket so that you can see it, or will it have to fit below the glove/jacket sleeve, which excludes the really tall watches like for example whatever the Sinn chrono ref is, and whatever the Marathon chrono is, those two would go rather well with bike gear aesthetically though.

Anyway if you must wear a mechanical watch, I'd go with a relatively inexpensive field/pilot watch with a low profile to tuck it under the sleeve, which would probably be a Hamilton or something along those lines. Depends on what you're wearing and what the bike is too, if it's a cafe racer then it would go well with a retro pilot watch, and so on.

Does anyone know that feel when you want to buy a new watch, watches even, and you have the money for it, but you don't do it, because it would just be a stupid waste of money?
And the watches you're on the verge of pulling the trigger on, are all cheap shitters anyways, even though you've go Rolex-tier money just sitting around doing nothing.
And then you think to yourself
>maybe I should just invest that money into a watch?
and then you realize that this is more like gambling and a very stupid way of "investing".
And this goes on for way too long, meanwhile, all the expensive watches you had the quick brainfart of "investing" in, get more expensive every day…

That's pretty much the exact opposite of how it works. Micro brand can change names and not be out much, that is not really an option for an established brand with 100 plus years of history. Most micro brands simply can not implement the same QA processes that larger manufactures can. They out source most if not all of their manufacturing from several sources and have them assembled by under trained workers. That is if you don't just have someone make it entirely and just slap your name on it. for word of mouth just pay some people to review it on youtube, post in forums, intagram, etc. The truth is they are targeting people who do not really know enough to judge the quality of a watch. Their customers get all of their watch knowledge from web forums that will circle jerk themselves into believing that a certain watch is almost as good to just as good as the watch they actually wanted but couldn't afford.

what QA? timex has shit watches and seiko has shit straps and outdated movements for their entry watches but they get away with it because of "muh heritage"

you are confusing microbrands with fashion watches. The core audience of microbrands are actually watch geeks who are very much into all kinds of watches and know their quality. Nobody except the hardcore will pay $800 for a watch from a microbrand. You are lumping brands like Zelos with brands like DW

No actual "watch geek" is lusting after an unmodified ETA clone movement thrown into a Chinese made case with a logo on the dial from a company with no horological significance printed on the front. Their actual target market are people that are too impulsive to save up and buy an actual good watch. Zelos is Chinese garbage.

It's so obvious that it's a watch for women. And the price is just casio cashing in on the fashion retards that keep bying their third world models for way too much money. Even zoomers seem to not know how to look things up on amazon.

pic related was the price for a silver aq 230 i saw a year ago at a big mall in germany. And if i recall correctly, even saw a gold plated one for about 59€. I got my silver aq from amazon for 20€. Amazing how casio got so popular that malls can raise prices for these super cheap models.

iphones have nothing to do with watches and are not even a good example of high quality manufacturing. A lot of swiss brands are shit.

Being permanently sold out is because of how they order their watches. They place an order with a factory that then orders all the parts and assembles the watch. Zelos is kickstarter fundraising company that outsources all of manufacturing and assembly. They are not good watches and if you own one you wasted your money on shit.

Don't bother explaining the credit system to a retard. He will probably say how in debt the whole US is, not realising that it's mostly brown people that cause most of the credit card debt.
Every developed country, under the kike banking system has this credit rating improvement stuff. It's quite usefull if people plan to buy a house later on, to have the best credit rating they can get, so they don't get raped by interest rates.
Of course the system is fucked but if you want a normie life, you have to participate in it a bit.

The bambino is too big. 40mm is just barely acceptable for a dress watch and even then, only by modern standards. It's actually too much for many people and barely OK. Then you have this thing, which is 41mm. It doesn't work. It's also got a 21mm band which is not only awkward but too big. The proportions are all off. Ironically the Orient Mako 2 is a better dress watch in that it's a dress diver that walks between the beach and the boardroom perfectly while the Bambino is trying to be something it's not.
