Midriff is seriously one of the best parts of women, why you would elect to cover up half of it and make it look like your torso and pelvis don't fit your body is beyond me. I don't even mind if they cover it all up with like a jumper or some shit but it really needs to be everything or none at all.
Shirts tucked into high waisted clothing is also fucking terrible, you just giver yourself a muffintop again on short looking torso and large looking pelvis.

Low waist can look amazing if a girl is in great shape (NO muffin top whatsoever).
High waist has blown up in popularity because it covers muffin top and belly fat, making fat chicks think it makes then look thinner and with longer legs.
Girls on Instagram with an hourglass body type also wear high waisted / things (thongs, shorts) pulled up comically high because it makes their ass bigger and actually can be more comfortable on women with a body type like that.
Women's natural waist is high, above the bellybutton. Many skirts for example fall at the natural waist and are very comfortable. Jeans or underwear that don't can be extremely uncomfortable on curvy women (not fat, curvy).
