holy shit, love the pants and boots. hair really isn't my thing and I don't like even the best tattoos, let alone those lol. I suppose they suit his "look" though. just noticed the ear piercings too, those are terrible lol.

those pants are actually some of the coolest I've ever seem though. I'd ask for similar ones, but something like that would be absurdly expensive if they're decent. anyone have any similar pants anyway though?

Punks have always been largely politically left wing friendo

>> No.15250102

They were largely poor and just anti-establishment, so it depends if the establishment at the time is left or right wing. In the western world now governments are overwhelmingly left wing, and yet modern "punks" are all onboard with it and strangely wealthy with easy lives. They don't rebel against shit and the strongest political opinion they have is "like, that guy looks like... like he's like orange.. like a cheeto, and like... we should eat the rich." just before they hop into the car their parents bought for them, being careful not to spill their soi latte on the $1000 faux-punk outfit they put together in the free time they have from literally never working ever. Punk is dead.

Kinda a stretch, we are talking about the same movement that included acts like GG allin who supported rape, FEAR who sang blatantly sexist lyrics, X who sang about "starting to hate every nigger and Jew", and TSOL who were essentially just incels singing about not getting along with girls and love not bring real. To say that punk is "left wing" is exposed as a pretty blatant lie once you look past the fence set up by the DKs once the genre was commercialised for a more digestible market.

Ok but if we look at punk from its origin among British working (manufacturing) class families it makes more sense. More economic left than possibly socially

Punk was not a thing outside gay bars in the UK before the ramones first tour in the UK, punk originated in the US. In the UK punk was never a working class thing, that was more skinhead territory, and alot of the UK working class saw punks as middle class panzies.
