get a sea salt spray, put it in your hair before you blow dry, it will help make your hair more wavy and keep the volume in it.

Blow dry it upside down (like bend over so your head is upside down and blow dry it towards the ground) until its just barely damp,
then go back upright switch it to cool, and blow it in the direction you want it to go. and that will help close your hair fibers to kind of lock it in place.
you can hair spray it after that if you need extra hold.
I had hair like this in high school and its kind of a pain in the ass. hopefully your hair is thick enough to make it work.

Pretty satisfied with my current "natural" pretty normal looking haircut. Just parting it at front cowlick while its damp and brushing it in the direction it goes naturally and then to the back a little by hand. No products (other than shampoo). I really like the way it covers a bit of my forehead, makes my weak jaw/chin look less bad.

Curly hair advice:
Cut shampoo with sulfates and conditioners with silicones out. Wash with a sulfate shampoo one last time. Then just mostly wash with
silicone free conditioner, and shampoo maybe once a month?

Leave in conditioner is also good.
Use some kind of light gel, put a bunch in while wet, air dry, and crunch it out when done. You wanna almost always squish/squeeze your hair if possible vs coming fingers in a straight line.

Stay away from salt water sprays except for like weddings, curls will look great for a day but super frizzy a few days after.

How do you get rid of a part in your hair? I had long hair that I parted down the middle for years, but I finally cut it in 2017. Still, whenever I comb my hair back, that part still shows up and it looks weird now that my hair is short.

Mines a few inches past shoulder length and I shampoo once a week. I make sure to really scrub my scalp with my fingertips to try and get and drandruff out, and then let some good conditioner "soak in" for a few minutes while I scrub everything else in the shower.

The only thing is that my hair is super "fluffy" for about 2 days afterwards, and then goes to back to normal after my natural scalp oils get brushed through the hair. I guess I need to maybe try some other product I can comb into my hair to keep it from being all fluffy for a few days. Maybe some oils?
