Wtf is a dude supposed to wear in warmer weather when short sleeve shirts and shorts are the most comfortable? In the summer I usually just wear basketball shorts and athletic tees. Low effort I know but at least I don't look like the fag in pic related.

Basically a toned-down Tony Soprano-core. For business-related occasions, get some slacks, some smart shoes, and a nice short-sleeve button down/polo.

For less serious affairs, try to get a button down that has some flair/personality. Not necessarily a Hawaiian, but something that reflects your taste. By itself, keep it untucked; it's summer - keep it free and breezy.

Since it's summer, you should switch out those slacks for some solid shorts whenever you can - depending on the situation/event/etc. You can ditch the smart shoes for flip-flops, but try to find some casual shoes that cover your feet and nasty toejam (espadrilles, slip-on sneakers, boat shoes).

This is good for the most casual of affairs (lounging at home, hanging out with friends). My advice would just be to switch out the t-shirt for a collared shirt.

based Dessaint post, would this work with a linen shirtsleeve thrown on top?

>> No.15215584

My summer outfits are usually:
Oversized/boxy shirt
Sweatshorts/some sort of breathable fabric shorts
white ankle socks
various sneakers (stan smith, NB, onitsuka)
Don't overthink anything, keep it simple, comfort is #1, especially in much hotter climates

Under Armour, New Balance, Nike. Honestly just cheap tier athletic shorts. Can prolly get away with marshalls sale shit. I find its better to decide how much time youre going to commit to being outside during summer if you live in a fucked up humid city. Generally i get like 3-4 L O O S E outfits that won't turn me into a puddle of sweat and bank on the rest of the summer being too miserable to exist outside.
