I would love it if it wasn't 40mm, it's an extremely handsome watch but just a tiny bit too large for what it is. Cow horn lugs tickle my pickle

I have pretty sizeable wrists, so 40mm suits me fine. 42 is too large for me, but 37 and less looks too small.

To me, 38-40 is the sweet spot. That Historiques Cornes De Vache 1955 is kino though. Love it. Most Vacherons are a little boring, but that one they hit the bullseye.

It's one thing to have your initials engraved on a watch by the watch manufacturer or something like that. It's entirely another to have a small novel carved into the back.

My father was given a Rolex OP with my initials and d.o.b engraved into it the day I was born by my grandfather. That sort of thing is tasteful and reasonable to do to commemorate a major life milestone like a wedding or the birth of your first child or something. If you're giving someone a generic $20 wood etsy watch with 9 lines of generic Hallmark garbage it doesn't mean nearly the same thing.

Hey lads, first time posting here. Inherited this watch from my father, who passed away recently. I’m not here to ask if it’s a “good” or fashionable watch, I’m aware it’s not that great and is through and through a dad/boomer watch. It is pretty cool though.
Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have had experience with this brand or type of watch when it comes to settings. After setting it to the correct time zone date/year and letting it set itself, it seems to default back to the of 2032 and I can’t figure out why. Every night when it does it’s auto-time set, it also resets the year despite being set to 2020 prior.
Any advice on how to fix that? Thanks anons.

I've said this a million times, the average person doesn't care what your watch is so the only important thing is whether or not that watch is good to you. If the watch looks good and has reputable build quality/materials and a solid movement, in short if it's offering the right value, it's good. Right now microbrands are actually offering a lot of value with competitive finishing, materials, and design so it's not a bad thing to want one.
The only bad thing about that watch is that dudes names on watches instantly screams mall shit but if having Dick Le Grand on your watch doesn't bother you then it's fine.

there are also some gshocks kinda suitable for a small wrist too, like the 5600

Are Chanel watches a waste of money like other fashion brand watches?

I was thinking about buying this one for my wife’s graduation:

>White ceramic, Steel
>Steel unidirectional rotating bezel
>White-lacquered dial
>Steel screw-down crown with white highly resistant ceramic cabochon
>White highly resistant ceramic bracelet and steel triple-folding buckle
>Self-winding mechanical movement
>200m water resistant

The resin used in Casios isn't going to change any time soon, it works perfectly and has no issues. The only real alternative are full stainless models, which are heavier, but could support 18-20mm lugs.

I think we're eventually going to see a MIP square with atomic solar, which is worth waiting for if you like negative displays, but it'll probably take another year or two to come out, and will require bluetooth to your phone for half the functions.

Personally, my dream watch would be a MIP atomic solar with programmable faces and a sapphire screen. I'd pay about a grand for a watch like that. As is, I hate the font they're using on the MIP screens, so I'll stick with the older basic LCD models for a while.
