citizen is one of the best brands you can go with if you are looking for quartz, they have been doing it for a very long time and specialise in it. For light powered watches i think ecodrive cannot be beat. They make a ton of styles too.

Depends on the person wearing it.

Oh that's a nice watch, they must be pretty successful
>young guy
Oh that's a nice watch, his parents must be rich or he must be really bad with money

The Rolex brand is built on the idea that you buy a Rolex after accomplishing something, so it just gives a different impression when I see younger people wearing them. Not that young people can't have accomplishments worthy of a Rolex, but it's just less likely in my mind.

citizen is like seiko's bookish cousin, but instead of churning out affordable mechanical pieces they do it with quartz and ecodrive. The only reason why Rolex is such a powerful brand today is because they don't make quartz models. They very briefly made quartz models in the 1970s, but realized they couldn't compete with Seiko and instead went all in on the luxury market. At the time they knew their mechanical movements had a certain niche, and they were able to continue on by not changing much. That's also part of the reason why Rolex's designs have barely changed over the decades.

At the same time Omega tried going downmarket to compete with Seiko and had its reputation trashed for a long time. It wasn't until the late-90s where Omega began to recover, but by then Rolex had emerged as the top of the luxury watch market.

Normies definitely would know the difference, to people who have never seen an automatic second hand before the sweep is distinctive.

Where do you even live? Sometimes comments like this makes me think some people are sorrounded by cliche generic HS materialistic people, like nobody expects you to have an expensive watch wtf.
Also most people that don't know anything about watches will acknowlege that they don't know anything therefore you can tell them "Yes but the Rolex brand is marketing because X and Y, there are better brands because X and so on.

Isn't that supposed to be your knowledge? Like, are you trying to impress people or just have a conversation about watches?
You probably have some nice watches you like or know some brands that have features a Rolex doesn't or for half the price or just talk about why you prefer this brand because it has a movement you like more.
Isn't that how people are supposed to have a conversation? Pretty sure that if you talk confident and actually have knowledge anyone will belive anything you say, that applies to anything in life honestly.

Yet in the end no one cares what you're wearing anon, you could talk about movements but most people don't care about that although some may find it interesting, but they will probably be interested in the asthetic design of the watch and you could just tell them there are 'homages' or other brands with 1/8 of the price.

IMO if all you want is to impress people go ahead and drop the money for it yet I wouldn't like to get the attention of the kind of people that get impressed over the price of the watch, consider that most people nowdays will think you're retarded for spending that much on such a thing too, if what you care is what others think.

https://classichiphopmagazine.com/answers/2018/8/28/did-tupac-2pac-shakur-dance-ballet

And the pic here shows him as a dancer for "Digital underground". Found this all in about 10 minutes. There have to be more stuff but i'm not in the mood to search.

Totally this. Another fun fact:
>One of the more surprising facts about Tupac Shakur is that he actually became a member of the “Young Communist League USA.”

https://www.listerious.com/facts-about-tupac-shakur/

So he got indoctrinated pretty damn hard. I guess once he wanted out they got rid of him. I'm willing to bet that they first fed him BS and then involved him deeper in their plans, maybe blackmail with pedoshit. Or this boi diddler chimped and got himself into pedo stuff.

and yet he accomplished more than a hot-pocket-eater like you ever will.
as far as ballet, Baryshnikov was more alpha than anyone in this thread.

Tupac was an educated man among nig-nogs. That's been known since forever, and some would say it's a significant reason for his radio time and consequent popularity around Europe in the 1990s.

Don't be shitting on ballet.

Literally about the same as the square.

It’s a new screen that’s much easier to read than a negative.

Ooohhh 2 years big whoop. I’m sure you change light bulbs more often

It's honestly a bit interesting how, when previously the approach to smartwatches was "cell phone maker downscales cell phone to fit on wrist & need recharging every night", a digital watch maker will take a different approach to that of Apple et cetera. Casio appears to be looking at a "not as dumb" watch rather than an outright app-store-able computer with wifi and shit.
