Stupid question. You can always pay more for better fabric and construction, even if that means going to a speciality clothier and taking that to a tailor.

i think by $500, you have access to something like an 561-565 omega or tissot seastar, so you just need to choose one in good condition, but at $400 you will have the seiko presage watches, SARB, homages like a steinhart ocean one.
You could say $2,000-$3,000 where you have the zenith el primero and omega aqua terra co-axial master etc but it's definitely not the best value.

>>15159457
Well, it seems that the condition is very important, so i'm not sure. Wearing it each day could decrease the value. You're also spending a lot for the maintenance on watches with luxury in-house movements.

but this is true even for watches thousands of dollars. There are -many- extremely good watches for under $150. Gshocks for example. Or the casio duro. Even aliexpress rolex homage watches give great value at $100. When does the small/unimportant increase in quality not justify the cost?

you're deluded if you think watches >$400 give "good value". Those are luxury, not value items. The f91-w or its variants or the gshock is the best value watch by pure specs in existence, since they come with many functions, far more accurate than 99% of mechanical watches, and can survive a ton of shit.

I work in basic bitch shoes, and there is a jump in quality in sneakers at around 80, and again around 120. I would say 120 - 180 is the range where your money is going towards improving the functionality or style of the sneaker. Anything above that is accelerating in price at a higher rate than the actual quality you're getting.
