What are some of the best rose fragrances for boy? It's a note I've never really liked but want to try

>> No.15135342

Timbuktu
Fleur D'Oranger (criminally discontinued)
Passage d'Enfer

This would be my top three. There are many others that blew my mind but the thing with LAP is that with its creativity it gave beginning to whole trends of fragrances that others mastered years after them. Tea for Two was the first tea fragrance done that way and it deserves a mention even if better alternatives exist. Without it the houses like Memo or Floraiku wouldn't even exist. It was released in fucking 2000 People back then were still wearing Polo Green heavy mossy fragrances and modern aromatic fougeres were still a novelty. And they came up with Tea for Two. The same with Mechant Loup. Amazing masculine woody gormand from 1997. PG with its Aomassai 10 mastered this theme but one needs to pay respects to the original creation. That's why LAP is a legendary house.

This is basically my whole collection, other that the shitton of samples I have. All of them can be used is spring, but of course the AdP is my freshest. I also have a 10ml sample of Histoires des Orangers from the LAP discovery set, which I use a lot on warmer days.

Thinking about getting Eau Sauvage Parfum and a Frederic Malle, can't choose between Monsieur and Vetiver Extraordinaire. Plus I need to sample Nicolai Parfums.

And I definitely need to work on my cold weather frags, since I live in Copenhagen so 80% of the year it's cold and rainy. Taking suggestions.

That's my hot days dumb reach. It has this menthol coolness about it that keeps you fresh without being synthetic shower gel-like. Quite unique in this aspect. I get a cucumber water, lavender and lemon from it. Everything is blended smoothly as you could expect from Francis Kurkdijan. It really uplifts me and helped me to make it through the heatwave last summer when I was in NYC. Price tag is ridiculous - I got a 100 ml back up bottle for £13.50 from eBay two months ago.

AdP Essenza is based. You got good educated selection there. I can tell that you were sampling stuff just from looking at your photo. I also got lots of spring/summer decants and samples to test out. Xerjoff Mefisto Gentiluomo, 6 different freshy MFKs (Lumiere Noire, Masc Plurirl, Amyris EdT&Extrait, Aqua Celestia Forte, APOM), Profumum Roma Ichnusa, Acqua Viva, Orangea and also Bulgari Opalon that I got recently with Bee. Probably will cop a bottle or two out of my favorites here after finishing samples/decants. Perhaps it can give you some ideas what you can test. When it comes to Malle I like both but would rather buy Vetiver Extraordinaire. It's something appropriate for Spring/Summer and while Monsieur is amazing, there are better boozy fragrances imo. Better choice to fill gaps in your collection.

Give it a go anyway. Just explain to them that it’s making you very uncomfortable and making your life much more complicated. Embellish a bit if you have to, when dealing with doctors, you often have to sell it a bit. You don’t have to just live like this, bro. I really like BDJ, although if you don’t enjoy Lavender it won’t be for you. It’s not a light fragrance by any stretch. The lavender is present throughout but it’s about getting your nose in and seeing how all of the other notes develop.

That’s why I like them, they don’t talk about notes on their own, but talk about the transportive nature of fragrance, and that’s much more interesting. Anyway, thanks. I did wonder whether to get a Luca Turin book. I suppose I’ll just have to try and smell the actual notes on their own too, but naturally, meaning I’ll have to try and find some geraniums or neroli etc and smell them so I know what I’m trying to find in a fragrance.

Zara released a new line of perfumes designed by Jo Malone herself, apparently they're really good and super cheap too (around $15 for 40ml, but it varies per country). And even better, now they have a sample kit for these new frags, you get 8 x 4ml in a nice little box for under $20, free shipping (in my country at least). Dry downs are likewise, Edition Blanche smells like the softest vetiver whereas Fiero is much more aromatic in its combinaton of herbal notes.

M. Micallef Royal Vintage is an awesome Aventus-like fragrance with cypress instead of pineapple.
But unfortunately Pineapple Vintage is the best clone by far imo. They have like 20 different versions of Aventus so there is probably something in there that would suit you. I have Beyond Noir which they say is their darkest version and I like it a lot, but it might be too different from original Aventus and not what you want. I would like to try something in between Intense and Beyond Noir but the prices are a bit absurd at this point.

Of course. TdH will always be the most popular mainstream of the line. Hermessence is really interesting and high-end line. The Jardins are very well-loved and frequently discussed. Any of the solid coloured bottles are worth trying. The founders stuff (Equipage, Bel Ami) are well-talked about. TdH is just the tip of the iceberg essentially.

And this is a good thing. You'll stand out from all other dudes she's been seeing. A good friend of mine who's a fucking slayer, shows up to dates in a suit and pulls off ONSes that way regularly. Chicks are all over him. I don't recommend doing that as it requires exuding appropriate vibes and confidence but just go to any place like 1oak, socialista or PhD rooftop and see how most of guys there dress. No one is slobby there. Fragrances are only about how do they make you feel (provided that you don't wear skanky ouds in a heat wave etc). No one else cares about your fragrances really, at best you'll hear that you smell nice. Everything on top of that means that she's into you and tries to channel it this way to don't look desperate or awkward. The internal transformative power of fragrances is what's all of it is about imo. You want to feel sharp - wear your fougere, wanna feel confident and worldly - wear your chypre, wanna be seductive - wear your orientals, wanna feel like a little scrawny faggot - wear eros (jk idc). Fragrances are only about you and how they make you feel like and, adding an additional level to your presence and stressing your character qualities that you want to stress lads.

Ackshually... from a historical standpoint, there have been 3 main ways that men have found success in passing down their genes. One is by force, like Gheghis Khan. Rape tons of women. The second is by pair bonding and “investing” in a small number of offspring with a single partner. The third is by simply impregnating as many mates as possible and counting on at least a few of them surviving to maturity.

So yeah, men are basically meant to be sluts.

Citrons are one of the original citrus fruits from which all other citrus fruits were bred. They have a very thick rind, which makes them largely unsuitable for culinary use.
