It's really nicely well blended. Photorealistic (not sweet) beeswax dominant with some fruity/floral notes underneath. Admittedly, I'm not the biggest fan of the smell of honey or a gourmand lover but I sampled it first as it seems to get the most praise. Not for me personally, but well blended and makes me want to try all the HG and find the one.

Largely driven by lavender, rosemary etc. although there are other more earthy notes as well that balance nicely. Overall very fresh and inoffensive, and very affordable, which explains why it is a staple in nearly every Spanish household (although the 750ml "after bath" plastic bottles are more common I think).
Pic related is also very common. My grandmother used to put a bit of it on my pillow if I was having trouble sleeping.

I remember one time this man smelled 1 million and said he knew it wouldn’t last long because he could detect which aromachemicals were being used to make it. 1 million is a chemical mess but the one thing it’s known for (apart from being the signature scent of broke paneers) more than anything else is that it’s aggressive and long lasting, even post reformulation. Plus, how you gonna call yourself a master perfumer and not immediately recognize the smell of 1 million. It’s one of the most popular men’s fragrance of the last decade. I’ve never owned it but I smell it everywhere. It’s like calling yourself an huge basketball and not knowing who Michael Jordan is.

To his credit he kind of hinted at it in a roundabout way by saying it smells like the kind of fragrance brands would charge an obscene amount of money for and other houses would seek to imitate, but I’m not sure why he wouldn’t just come out and say it smelled like Aventus. It’s one thing to say it’s overrated, but you as a perfumer saying you’ve never smelled the most highly praised fragrance of all time, not even for research purposes, makes it sound like you’re not particularly interested in your own field and craft.
