I like Dark Academia, but it seems really sweater and coat centric, how do I adapt the look to warm weather?

Linen shirts are great (as are the shirts that you'd be wearing under a jumper/coat) and good thinner knitted jumpers (I.e. not H&M blended crap) are very breathable in warmer weather (though not fucking mid Summer obviously). The colours on that chat are stupid, btw. White shirts contrasted with dark clothes are a core part of dark academia, and a white and other light (but preferably muted) linen shirts are a must have in summer.
