Blind bought Lalique L’Insoumis lads. I’m starting to really get into herbal fougeres after getting a bottle of Chanel PE. Was gonna buy Azzaro PH but it might be too hot so just went with a decant of Azzaro Chrome instead. I like the idea of smelling like metal. Any well blended metal/ozonic frags out there that can perform well in heat and still smell fresh? Budget $100

I'm pretty narrowly stacked with summer frags.

The ones in my collection that I plan on wearing in the warmer months are TdH, Jill Sander Sun Men, and l'Eau d'Issey. Apart from those I don't really have any to play around with.

On the subject of “how much is too much” I don’t think there’s such a thing as “too many” if you enjoy them. People spend more money on less. You could spend thousands on cigarettes or alcohol. If you get enjoyment from them and aren’t going hungry to fund your fragrance habit, go for it. I think the only stigma comes from men owning them because it’s often seen as something men do to attract women. Fragrances can be art in the same way whisky can be. There’s no shame in appreciating art. I basically never buy fragrances these days because I have “enough” but I like to try and sample them every now and then and try and improve my understanding and appreciation of the ones I have. It’s a hobby like video games or anything else.

Don’t worry about “too many”, just worry about getting your priorities right.

Dior Homme and AHSEE aren’t as appropriate for summer as the two you mentioned, but they’re by no means inappropriate either. They both have a lightness to them that makes them summer friendly, but there’s added depth. AHSEE has a prominent tonka note which makes it a bit thicker than you might want a summer fragrance to be, but it’s not sweet so it never becomes too much for the summer, although I’d be more inclined to leave it for summer evenings than the highest midday heat.

Anyone try Espresso Royale from Sebastiane? The Fag Apprentice shilled it as the most challenging but realistic coffee scent. Challenging? Yes. Coffee? Maybe if you left a moka pot of lavazza or bustelo to boil into a dark swill. Interesting from an artistic standpoint but too overpriced. I got a 2ml from the perfumed court for like $15 when including tax and shipping.

It's great, probably my favourite FM, haven't tried Monsieur though. It is tuberose heaven. Overall dead centre unisex in my opinion, kinda safe but nevertheless fantastic. I do think 50 ml would have been enough but the other listings where more expensive lol. It is a must sample FM. For decants also check Facebook groups especially if you live in the us or big European countries. Can't wait for the warmer weather to wear it more

I find it to be a fairly asexual scent, which is not necessarily a bad thing. GIT works well in a professional setting for someone who wants to project an air of respectability without coming off as a try hard or a show off. It leans mature as well. They're selling 100ml bottles at £70, an absolute bargain considering even discounters are still selling them at £119-105 price range. They're older formulations (2012 for the Ambra pictured) but arguably better and stronger than newer batches and the new EDP bottles which still are essentially identical in scent.

It seems like you're saving money getting bigger bottles but in a long run this hobby can get pretty expensive. You're also by any means not going to use all of them up.
