Here's what most of my wardrobe comprised of 3-5 years ago.

Here's what remained 2 years ago.

I wanted to see how things had changed in a relatively short period of time for me. In fitness, colloquially, there's the "bulk phase" and the "cut phase" - and I had just started the cut phase.

The last couple of years, I have pretty much exclusively have purchased Rick Owens and Undercover, with few exceptions, and it has had the desired effect. 1 in 3 pieces I own now are Undercover, almost 1 in 4 are Rick Owens. But in practice, aside from basics, these two brands absolutely dominate my day-to-day wear

Some fitpic highlights here are my earliest, this is the first fitpic of me online. I worked hard and absolutely flubbed the technicals here, but hey, I had aspirations. Not gonna lie, I spent the most on these boots I'd ever spent on anything, they were from Broken Homme. Homie then broke that record again, buying heavily discounted Zam Barrett jeans. The tees were Void The Brand over Sifr. This was the turn.

My worst, this is the worst fit I've ever put on. I wore it for a Valentine's day. Thrifted Jcrew corduroys, CDG Shirt patchwork jacket (kinda cool in and of itself), Onitsuka Tigers. I desaturated this to "fix" the white balance, my lips went grey.

My favorite (OP pic), I had another flash of the future here and put on an outfit I really liked, full of clothes I had absolutely gone bonkers to find. Like the first Zam fit, this one is a classic. This fit was the first one I saw of myself that actually gave me some self-confidence. I still use this as my profile picture on most sites. There's stuff I'd change (most common crit of swapping CPs for Ramones was right, even though I disagreed when I tried them on in SSense 20 minutes earlier), but the Rick Intarsia and Undercover Hagis made for a great silhouette.

And finally one of my latest, wearing cool shit to work.

Putting this in a tangible, trackable format (rather than in my head) makes me only want to further reduce the number of brands and pieces represented. With my target aesthetic honestly achieved, my goals for this year are to keep the total number of pieces static, if not reduce even further. I'm working with fairly little space (225-250 sqft of bedroom in a shared apartment) and don't plan on moving to a new space for at least another 15 months.

I don't really intend to get much out of this thread, but figured many people might want to see what the journey has been like for someone who's been here a long time, especially given how different my wardrobe probably looks from many of yours. Some conversations lately in Discord reminded me that I needed to get this together.

This is actually a good thread and quite interesting. You look a bit too slim, so some of the clothes look awkward on you - especially in this pic because so much skin is exposed - but you dress miles better than the average WAYWT poster on this board.
