Coming this spring, Nike is releasing their SPACE HIPPIE line, with the claim to fame of being their 'lowest carbon footprint' footwear through the re-use of production scraps.

Thoughts? Which one looks best? Personally I'm quite skeptical as to how committed they are to a zero-emissions shoe with the goal of promoting the circular economy.

Agreed, I wish the shoes to have less of an 'art piece' look. That said, if this is their first foray into something larger, I look forward to more subtle designs in the future.

Everything but the far left is a bit much, and even then is still too busy for me to want to buy. Appreciate the effort tho, I look forward to more subtle designs.

I'd love to have any of these. They have this found object aesthetic that really resonates with me. Looks like a shoe someone in 2180 would wear.

they looks great and sui generis but with that orange accent, I'm not sure if I'd be able to fit them.

>> No.14992123

I honestly love every one of these, and the idea is really cool. I'm looking forward to the move towards sustainability in fashion this decade, and if these have even the slightest chance of bringing back lunarcore then I am all goddamn over it.

I like the Adidas ones a bit more, but the recycled look of these is great. Any word on pricing yet? I figure these will be flagship prices.

I don't believe prices have dropped yet, but here's an article for those interested.
