Let me take you on a journey, friend. You’re on vacation in San Francisco, you return to your hotel but have forgotten your room number. You walk into the room of another guest by mistake. Immediately upon entering, you notice that a bunch of sweaty men are fucking on a bed shaped like a giant martini glass covered with sequins. YMCA is playing on a loop on the room’s sound system, a disco ball hangs from the ceiling, a large TV displays episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race. John Waters is sitting on a chair in the corner sipping a cosmopolitan.

Ultra Male is gayer than that room.

Ok, so tell me what you think of this. We need to make a distinction between fragrances as art (like music) and fragrances as accessories. If the fragrance is an accessory, it MUST have good longevity and projection, otherwise no one will be able to smell it, and it will have no effect. If it doesn't have good longevity/projection, then it DOES NOT MATTER AT ALL how nice it smells. The scent impression becomes completely irrelevant. I've been thinking about this as I've been testing this box of samples of fragrances Luca Turin told me were good (Apres L'ondee, Le 3' Homme, Calandre, others). They're interesting, but they're almost all gone after 15 minutes unless I put my nose right up to them. For me, that negates the value of the fragrance as an accessory. I'm starting to think we need to have fragrance galleries so the artsy people will hang out together and stop recommending fragrances I can contemplate but not actually wear. Discuss. (By the way, Azzaro PH is this for me. 4 sprays managed to vanish almost immediately, and I don't wear it every day or anything. Note: olfactory fatigue doesn't neatly explain why I'm getting this effect from new fragrances with only one spray.)

agree with you 100%. There should be a distinction between the art fragrances, fragrances you wear to complement your style/outfit, and fragrances that are more aromatherapy (classic Eau de Cologne fleeting but comforting scents that are designed to be sprayed often).

To more accurately gauge longevity, try spraying on your collarbones underneath your shirt. This tip I learned from watching a Roja Dove video and it has vastly improved my experience when wearing fragrances.

To a certain extent this is correct. There will be some girls who just hate certain scents no matter which guy is wearing it. For fragrances you want to use for seduction, buy one or two from the most complimented videos as a good starting base, then go fragrance shopping with her and see what other fragrances can drive her wild for you.

Giorno will be wearing Acqua di Gio during the journey to becoming Boss. There is this freshness and calm/composed energy that matches Giorno in a way without being too juvenile. As Boss, he might switch to something less aquatic because he is no longer traveling around Italy by boat as much.

Bruno might be wearing Acqua di Gio Profumo because he is a little bit more mature and more of a leader.

Abbachio is wearing Sauvage because it fits his polarizing character without being too off putting.

No real clue what Fugo, Mista, and Narancia would wear that would match their personality.

SOTD: second wearing of my Xerjoff Alexandria II. This spicy-apple-rosewood opening is unbelievably good. I wish it stayed for longer that way. However, the way it settles to a lavender-sandalwoody barbershopish scent is also very snice. One gets some warmness from amber and very subtle rose giving it some more sophistication. Gorgeous and very crowdpleasing stuff and I wished more people discussed Xerjoff here. Nevertheless £275.00 for 50ml is a bit too steep I think. I would save rest of my sample for some special occasion but it's one of these small plastic 2ml atomisers that one just click in instead of screwing, so I'm afraid of it evaporating. Such is life. Secondly, ze really, really, really important thing is hygiene *puts hands together and nods them towards the camera with a serious face* there's no point of using a fragrance if you're hygiene is missing. I can't stress this enough guys, girls really won't like you if you have a smelly breath. That's why I picked a toothbrush and a toothpaste as my second choice. Lastly guys one needs to create a good, comfortable atmosphere. Girls must feel comfortable around you, you smell amazing but your house should also smell amazing. Thatz why I picked my favorite scented candle. It's Movie Night. You can find the link in description. Moving on finally one needs to be ready for some sexy times ;)) *laughs in german* that's why the condom ;)). I prefer to use Magnums, but please free to use whatever is appropriate for you guys.

>Invasion Barbare
I definitely see the appeal. The warm/spicy opening is nice, but not something I'd like to smell all the time. The drydown is better imo, a smooth, elegant amber. I'm not really sure what a "barbershop" frag is supposed to smell like, but if this is it, I'm not really that crazy about it. Given the name, I thought this would smell way more manly. Overall good, but I wouldn't buy a full bottle, maybe just another decant when my current one runs out.

My sadanne came in from luckyscent. Very good thanks for the tip hooker anon. Strawberries, wine/champagne, roses, musk. Never smelled anything like it. Wine boozy. Very sexy.... anyways I opted for “10 men samples” instead of free shipping. Totally worth it guys, got an insane grab bag. All very expensive stuff I was shocked. I was expecting some PDM montales. Forgo the 8 bucks shipping your next order there and take the 10 samples. I won’t tell you what I got so your expectations are open. But I was shocked. Take the 10 samples instead of free shipping if you ever order from there.

I requested Nishane Ani and they gave me hacivat though REEEEEE. I put it on just to dispel the aventus rumors. 30 minutes in and I can say a normie will think it’s aventus. >> No.14978400

>>14978387

I think that's when people are maximizing their pleasure. The con about a signature scent is eventually your nose gets desensitized to it if you wear it day in and day out. If you have some to rotate then it smells amazing each time you wear them again. Now when we get to super large collections where they only either wear a couple of the same fragrances over and over, or they end up cycling through their entire collection to wear only each fragrance once a year. That's when the situation feels like it is getting out of hand...like they are hoarders.

If you want a signature scent, I suggest buying multiple fragrances in the same "genre" that share a similar vibe/idea that smell distinct enough that when you cycle through them it doesn't desensitize you enough. Or treat fragrances like accessories for clothing (unless you wear the same style every day). Having that harmony between the image your projecting and the fragrance that is projecting off your skin is just beautiful.
