14937219 No.14937219 [Reply] [Original]

I'm tired of dressing badly and without style. I found a girl who will help me find a style.
What do you think?
Do you have an outfit recommendation? I leave a photo of me this morning

my height is 6 1 1,85
And my weight is 179

>> No.14937222

Not a bad fit anon, colors work great. For your standards going minimal is a good choice, nothing flashy.

Only gripe is the shorts are a bit wide, could be narrower.

Kinda curious to see what you looked like before.

Here OP try something like this:

>> No.14937464

Hey OP, please before you go on a shopping spree you might not be able to afford just take a look into your closet.

Before developing a truly "fashionable" style where you might start to get into some designer clothing you really want to start with the basics first. What I mean by this is going through your closet and finding what fits and looks good/acceptable.

The polo isn't the worst I've seen, but try tucking it in. Fashion is all about the details
Your shorts are wayyy too wide thoe.
The jeans in your second pic also look a tad bit too loose, though it's hard to tell how they look in their entirety when you don't include the entirety in the pic.

>> No.14937480

>>14937428
Thanks for the recommendation
I think that could look good in me.
But I'm 19 and I have to go to college this year. I don't want to look too formal.

Thanks for your opinion.
That's really true, when I realized my lack of good taste i began to look the best outfits that I had, at the second pic is one of the best ones. But im not very satisfied, I think I look like my dad (is not that bad). I will try like you said finding good details.
I hope the personal stylist help me too

1. Pick a style you like and that go with your lifestyle, and (sadly) fits your body type
2. Start following people who dress like that (for inspo) and try to get similar or the same pieces of clothing
3. Add your own touch to the fits, so you don't look the same

Don't forget to think about this when finding a style:

It's more important to show that you care than to have a good style. Having a basic conservative style will look better than something half-assed niched. Also don't be afraid to try stuff, just because it looks bad when you see it folded in the store or worn by some weird looking model it might still look good on you.

my suggestion is you should start looking carefully at bob's pics and trying to make out what he's wearing and what makes it look good, you can also watch some movies from/set in that era and go for thrift stores when it comes to buying clothes, you can get way better stuff there than mallshit for a fraction of the price, and it's especially good for that vintageish aesthetic youre going for. make sure the clothes you buy are good quality (my main principle and what seems like a fitting principle for bobdylancore is only wearing natural fabrics) and fit you well (you can look up some guides on how to determine if x sort of garment fits you). also learn into color matching etc, go for earth tones and a modest pallette

>> No.14937836

also dont put too much trust in corny dudes on youtube and their TOP 10 men's style PRO lifehacks!!!!1 shit, best steer clear of that stuff. i'd say don't get lured into the fast fashion bs and buying whatever seems to be trending only to realize you never really wanted it in the first place after like a week but that's just me rambling. don't get discouraged either, you're going to be looking back and cringing at how you dressed a while ago quite often now but remember, that only means youre evolving

Don't wear two different patterns on top of eachother like that, it's a little hard on the eyes. Jeans would look good with a corduroy jacket/coat, maybe something like pic related with a turtleneck, if you're going for the Bob Dylan look that is.

Biggest piece of advice though is to take inspiration from multiple sources or you'll end up with a style that isn't yours and it'll look like you're wearing a costume

Have a look at getting a turtleneck or two. Go for black would be my recommendation, try some suede shoes/boots on too. Tuck your shirt in and wear a belt. wear pants with a better fit. makes you look good
oversize hides your body type.
winter or spring color seems to match your skin and hair. google it for the color palette.
if you are wearing something flashy(a colorful shirt or something with lots of patterns), everything else you are wearing needs to be simple. and by simple, i mean REALLY simple. no pockets, no buttons, no prints.
