But I think t the yellow chinos might work fine. I used to pair my mustard/gold chinos with navy or grey shirts.

Nah not really, but given the context, everyone has to start somewhere op. Don't know what to say about the paisley, since it's quite big where I'm from on account of hippie chic being quite big. It's alright to take baby steps. Just for the love of God don't take advice from Zara workers, its peak NPC/sexcore fashion and almost everything in there is gaudy or pre ripped denim.

I don't know why nobody has told you that navy will work with both your shirt and pants. Some navy chinos will work for the shirt just fine. It would look better than black or a deep red. Probably just as good as a mahogany or brown.
