my daily ultraboosts developed a split that's around an inch long in the boost at the back of the heel, and it goes in one boost "blob" deep. you can kind of pull it apart a bit. seems like its going to get a lot worse if i keep letting it flex, but the rest of the shoe is still nice so it will be a shame if i have to toss them.

Jordan 1 midsoles are all rubber so they don't ever disintegrate. It is very rare, but sometimes the rubber will begin cracking around the stitching. Not sure whether it's because of dryness or wear.

My 85 Jordan 1s still have perfectly fine midsoles.

Jordans have horrible quality and QC, so it's not uncommon for paint to flake off the midsole. It was a huge problem with 3s and 4s a while back. It's different from the midsole cracking and disintegrating, FYI.

I don't think soft midsole material like what Ultraboosts have will crack. Obviously, it just won't get brittle.=I don't think I've ever seen a pair of Jordan 11s with a cracking midsole.

It's zero drop and wide, so you have enough room to spread your toes out, plus no padding in the sole to destroy your arch. I have flat feet though so anything that's too supportive and works for regular people ends up hurting me.

Largely NB has been dropping the ball from 2013-2018 and it only has been recently that they've been putting out solid collaborations and a solid effort to refresh their core lines such as the 997s and 574s refreshes. Along with these refreshes they have been giving these brand new silhouettes to influential brands like Kith, Snow Peak, ADL, Nonnative, and Bodega to work with and the result have been some amazing collab shoes that have actually had resell value. The no off days and no bad days with bodega have made it to a ton of end year lists as one of the best releases this year. It's not a counter response to OW, AJ1s, and Yeezys but new balance trying to capture an audience. Even the noncollaborative efforts have been great with some new designers at the helm which make a lot of their made in us/uk and some of the general releases look like they are collabs. Before they would focus a ton of effort into the technology of their shoes but now they are even setting up separate branches like their Tokyo Design Studio to create new interesting designs to revitalize their shoes.
