Long coat with tucked in sweater is full retard but I would personally never close my coat unless I were to freeze. I'm usually wearing good looking sophisticated layers that I'd like shown. Wearing a trench or parka closed also gives a vague incomplete look at how your body is shaped, length of your limbs etc which could really throw a fit off.

Wearing an actual cropped shirt (you could try giving that one a raw hem, or just tucking it in) as opposed to balling it up at the front and not pulling your tights up so high would create a smoother silhouette.
