There’s definitely sugar in dark chocolate. Have you ever had cacao nibs? They’re bitter as fuck, no sweetness at all. basically all chocolate is sweetened to some degree, no one would buy 100% unsweetened chocolate, it’d taste like eaten a bar of compacted dirt. You can get vegan chocolate, but it has to be specifically made with particular kinds of sugar.

>>14799150
I dated a vegan girl for a bit. She could not cook. I can very well, and I’m into mixology, and I couldn’t make anything for her, basically. There are so many things you wouldn’t even think about that vegans won’t eat. Was hard making her cocktails because certain liqueurs and spirits have sugar or honey or other stuff vegans can’t have, most mixers (like sodas, syrups, and juices) have added sugar, so they’re out. Eating out when we were on dates was basically impossible. It’s really even more restrictive than you’d think it is.

Yep, the last two women I dated were vegans and my sister has been one for 14 years. It's very restrictive. The point I was making is, if someone is into cooking and is a strict vegan, all of their meals are completely from scratch and plant based, therefore they come up with really interesting and creative dishes. I even went vegan for a while because of this.

>> No.14799212

Many vegans unironically won’t wear fragrance. I guess they don’t realize most animalic notes are synthetic nowadays. They also won’t wear wool, fur, or leather, and sone won’t even use glue because it’s derived from animals.

>>14799202
Yeah, I’ve had some good vegan dishes, it’s just to me, because of how restrictive the diet is, a lot of it just kind of seems like worse versions of regular food. Like, fried cauliflower is good and all, but while I’m eating it, I just can’t help but think it’d be better if it was chicken, y’know? Not all of it, of course, I’ve had dishes that were very creative and good enough to stand on their own merits, but I just could never live like that full time. Way too much work, and if you travel a lot, you’re pretty much fucked in a lot of countries.

He doesn’t understand the psychology behind Jordan Peterson’s writings, he doesn’t understand the political implications of associating himself with Trump, he just thinks “these guys are famous, so I should do what their books say”. He clearly doesn’t actually understand any of it, it’s just pretence. He thinks people will think he’s smart and successful because he reads books by successful people. It’s simply an affectation.

It’s just more of Jeremy proving that he is, in fact, the real life Patrick Bateman.

He could argue for a change of cirsuntances based on the backlash of his consumer base to tgis statement and due to the fact that the fragace did not sell as well as he originally expected. This is still a difficult defense because he would need to prove a real expectation of profit higher than what has actually happened. It is also somewhat complicated for the other part because they would need to prove that they have lost tangible damages from his failure to comply with the statement, which generally only resellers would qualify, and they have made no motion to create a legal action thus far, afaik.
A more relevant legal question, in my view, is that he created a launch promotion several months ago and thus far has not actually increased the price of the product to it’s “real” price, which is basically tricking the consumer and a legal vice.

Yes, but if he actually slashes the price to 80 now it would just confirm that the offer was irregular. His best bet now would be increasing its price back to 160 right after his new fragance launches and eventually, after another year or so, slash it back to 80-90 or discontinue it. He really messed up with this one.

For it to hit the discounter usually one of 2 things need to happen:
>he sells it at an extremely low price to the retailers for them to sell at discount
>there is evidence that setting it at a price closer to its retailer price will increase the profits
>the products dont sell at all and it is better to just get rid of them and free space
He is in a difficult situation where he can’t really do the first because of the issue about his statement that the other anon pointed out; and they can’t do the third because it probably still sells enough for it to be barely profitable keeping it around while still being a relative failure.
The second one is really complex because it not only deals with scale economics but also scope economics, since it depends on demand elasticity and other complex concepts that i am incompetent to explain or evaluate.
His first fragrance was quite a combination of bad moves, we will see how he proceeds on his next one. My bet is that he learned his lesson it will be released under $100.

I did spray some Infusion d’iris, however, and while i really like it’s smell, it only lasted 2 hours on my skin, with under 30 minutes of projection. Of course, it was only a spray on the wrist, but it still is terrible performance.

I've wanted GPHii myself anyway so I'll grab 2 now and see how many more when I can afford the cost. They seem to be going for between $120AUD (retail here) and $300 on ebay. $80 seems alright.
I'm not sure if you're the initial anon who wanted it; but if there were a way I could get some for you, that'd be nice. I'm on the other side of the planet though so I don't know if the shipping would be reasonable

He won’t sell his next fragrance cheaper. It’d hurt the image he’s so desperately tried to cultivate too much. He’s Jeremy, his name must be synonymous with success and luxury. If he’s hawking cheap frags, it means he’s failed to create “the best fragrance brand in the world”. Plus, he still has an army of teenagers and pajeets who will buy anything he slaps his name on. Fragrance is cheap to produce for the most part, and his advertising is basically just him shilling it in videos he’d have made anyway. He doesn’t need to sell a ton for it to be profitable. Besides, profit isn’t his goal. He’s already a spoiled rich kid, he wants to be famous. Hence the need for a luxury brand.

Re: Jeremy hate.
My take is that he has already made a shitload of money. It's a fact that he mad a couple millions $ on the first kickstarter batch. Perfume prices are overinflated and given his absolutely basic packaging there's no chance a bottle costs more than $20 to produce. Virtually all of the price of designer fragrances are marketing costs (I've heard somewhere that these are around 50% of price). He cuts corners here also very well by leveraging his youtube and social media presence. These are negligible costs comparing to standard marketing methods. He's literally all over instagram with his fragrances. Everytime I go to my 'discover' page on IG, I can see Office for Men. That being said I agree with many of you that he's a short-sighted self-obsessed faggot who understands things only on a superficial level. But I think you can't call his fragrance brand a failure.

>> No.14802757

>>14802735
He was rich to begin with, m8. We know this. His dad’s some sort of manufacturing tycoon or something. That’s why he was able to get into pop music, modeling, etc. in the first place. So yes, from a financial standpoint his brand was a success (though it’s possible he’s paying the perfumers and other people he’s working with an outrageous amount), it’s still a failure in the sense that it didn’t catch on as a luxury brand which is what Jeremy really wanted. Financial success is kind of irrelevant when you’re already loaded. It’s fame and respect that he wants and he got neither.

>> No.14802786

>>14802757
He indisputably got fame. Respect? I'd argue that he has a lot of it from his fanbase. I think people like us are a negligible minority. Also I feel more like he wants to be a celebrity and doesn't care that much about respect.

>> No.14802810

>>14802786
He doesn’t have respect from the other perfumers/designers, though. Tom Ford and Erwin Creed treated him like a little kid, basically. He doesn’t have fame or celebrity on the scale he wants. He’s known in a relatively niche fragrance community, the vast majority of everyone hasn’t heard of him. Every time you say Jeremy Fragrance, and someone responds “who?”, it’s like a dagger in his heart. In his mind, he should be hosting awards shows on MTV or something. That’s why he’s failed, and why he’ll never succeed.
