Straight Cut. The lighter, thinner "stiffer" Chino style cotton weave doesn't drape very well. It looks better with a closer cut, whereas a heavier material like corduroy or wool will have natural drape. Chinos are warmer weather pants, Polo doesn't seem to offer a thicker heavier "pant" that is khaki colored, other than this new synthetic blend pant. And then they do offer a lot of actual denim. So maybe it is just intrinsic to the Chino weave... the thicker and more tough you make the weave, it starts to just basically become Jeans. Which you can then dye "Khaki" colored, but is that "Khakis"?

Those look like slim fit or maybe slim straight. The point is the Taper. If the pants are narrower at the cuff than the thigh, they are tapered, and that is not TIP. There should be no taper. Now, skinny cuts tend to be straight with no taper, but they are just skinny overall, so that is not TIP. Anything that is

These are all no-no's, Levi's is notorious for this, they have 50 different "modern" cuts...because they I believe are just hoping one of them catches on and becomes the new "501". etc.

No modern retailer like Uniqlo H&M Zara or JCrew, will have anything that is truly a classic cut. And if they have some pants that are "High Rise", since that is the meme, they will still be some "new proportion" type of cut. People here are fixated on Rise, but Rise has nothing to with the overall Cut of the pants.
