sweet sweaty, kind of soapy. First immediate impression is similar to kouros actually. There is floral honey to it. Instead of the pissy civet it is more of a salty sweat but in conjunction with something white and floral. Im picking up some herbal-leather. Its like leather with grass rubbed on it...It definitely has that floral soapy like kouros. Much better than kouros though, its NOT pissy. The must is very human, its like clean sweat. The fragrance was inspired by sex though. It was inspired to be intimate primitive touching of skin....I would call this musty-white floral-clean-leather....I quite like it and im satisfied with the 80 dollars I spent on it. I'll shut up about pheromones but it definitely has a smell I would associate with them to it. Good buy, not for everyone. If you like kouros you will like this. It is basically a better modern kouros with more human and less animal. I woldnt wear this out to bars and clubs. Intimate encounters and dates. Very specific role but very beautiful and of course necessary to my nasomatto collection.

Neither. The opening is the most harsh I have but when it settles down it becomes a nice subtle spicy/woody fragrance. But my god that opening is potent. It doesn’t project like Tuscan Leather or TV, and if it did it would be unwearable.

Will there ever be a fragrance with noticeable rose that doesn’t smell feminine? It’s such a beautiful note in things like Noir De Noir, but I just cannot pull it off.

It very much depends on the fragrance, there's no one answer. Just because something is an EDP doesn't necessarily means it's much stronger and has more projection than an EDP. In general err on the side of caution, you very rarely need more than 3 or 4 sprays of something, and for instance today I'm wearing Amouage Jubilation XXV, and I'm only wearing two of that, and it's more than enough.

Ralph Lauren Polo is a chypre, not a fougere. It's based on artemisia, aldehydes, oakmoss, labdanum, tobacco, pine, and patchouli. It has no lavender or coumarin. Yatagan is also a chypre and is pretty similar to RL Polo. Aramis 900 is also a chypre. Aventus is also a chypre. Bleu de chanel is also a chypre.

Fougeres are based on lavender and coumarin. Polo has neither. Azzaro Pour Homme is a fougere. Paco Rabanne PH is a fougere. Drakkar Noir and Cool Water are fougeres. All of them are based on lavender and coumarin. None of them smell anything like Polo, which is a chypre.

People either love it or take the side that his work is a bit amateur. I simultaneously dig the concept and think it's cringy at the same time. I've tried:
-Cape Heartache: Got some pine and yucky strawberry shortcake
-Falling into the Sea: The lychee note was interesting but I got bathroom cleaner
-A City on Fire: By far my favourite, I get a lot of smoke in the opening then the berries come in in the drydown, it's multi staged (but it still feels like something is missing)

Try some out and come tell us what you think. It seems Every Storm/Memoirs are the top picks but I haven't tried
