The zoologist bee should have been bear. Just another queer bug. Dragonfly was alright. Moth had potential but they put in too much of the zoologist pissy animalic dna. Im admittedly butthurt I will sample the bee but bear would have been more based with the woods and marine nuances

NEW ZOOLOGIST LINEUP

will briefly mention the roadmap of Zoologist 2019/2020's releases (tentative to change):

>a sweet bombastic scent from Cristiano Canali (mass appealing)
>a rainforest mossy scent from Prin Lomos (I am unsure about this one, maybe it has very limited appeal)
>a masculine woody scent from Spyros Drosopoulos (mass appealing, I think)
>a musky scent to complete my animalics collection from Pascal Gaurin (the king of musks)

First one as we know is bee. Take your guesses for the others. I might get my fucking bear with that third one

I guess the musky one might be Deer. They’ve already kinda done the other musky animals in Civet, Hyrax, and Beaver. Rainforest mossy scent, I’mma say Sloth. The masculine woody scent, who knows? Could be just about anything, near might fit, though, but then so would Wolf, Porcupine, Woodpecker... really pretty much any forest-dwelling critter.

Hey guys I'm a 21yo female. I'm extremely petite and feminine. What's a super girly fragrance for me to try? I own Drakkar Noir, Azzaro Pour Homme, Rive Gauche, and Paco Rabanna PH because they're classic feminine fragrances but I want to branch out a bit. How is Fahrenheit? The note lavender is listed which is the most feminine note, I hope it's not TOO girly!

Phero poster here redeeming myself. Been wearing nasmatto nudiflorum for about an hour. I am the first anon ever mention it on this board according to archive. I have been told I need to wait for dry down to see the full complexity but I definitely have a few points on it now.

sweet sweaty, kind of soapy. First immediate impression is similar to kouros actually. There is floral honey to it. Instead of the pissy civet it is more of a salty sweat but in conjunction with something white and floral. Im picking up some herbal-leather. Its like leather with grass rubbed on it...It definitely has that floral soapy like kouros. Much better than kouros though, its NOT pissy. The must is very human, its like clean sweat. The fragrance was inspired by sex though. It was inspired to be intimate primitive touching of skin....I would call this musty-white floral-clean-leather....I quite like it and im satisfied with the 80 dollars I spent on it. I'll shut up about pheromones but it definitely has a smell I would associate with them to it. Good buy, not for everyone. If you like kouros you will like this. It is basically a better modern kouros with more human and less animal. I woldnt wear this out to bars and clubs. Intimate encounters and dates. Very specific role but very beautiful and of course necessary to my nasomatto collection.

Posted this yesterday. For those curious it's been about 14 hours since I sprayed 1 spray of cologne Indelebile and I can still smell it. Sillage is very close to the body but you can still smell the frag.
Another anon asked what I was sampling I'll post some and my thoughts
>Luna Rossa sport
Love it really like the lavender and vanilla in this
>Carnal Flower
My favourite orange blossom frag. Want a full 100ml bottle but it is pricy probably will buy it in the coming years but not short term
>Noire exquis
Great this got me into l'artisan parfumeur and niche stuff in general. Really like the chest but and honey. Lasts pretty long as well
>Avignon
Got me into incense frags, really smells like a gothic church, very snice concept
>Eau de citron noir
Wore this pretty much the entire summer. Great fresh fragrance, eventhough I still get a smokey note performance is okay, you'll have to reapply
>Journey man, Bracken man, Opus IV
Extremely long lasting, great frags but too expensive for me. Got the samples for free since my mom knows somebody who sells amouage stuff, but not sure if I would pay as much as amouage asks for samples. Bracken stood out to me the most, the clove in that is great
>Ed hardy love and luck
Very fruity can't really distinguish anything smells pretty cheap
>Prada L'homme
Great, incredible iris, love wearing to work
>By Killian black phantom
Amazing, first gourmand I liked, smells like coffee chocolate and booze perfect for Fall, trying to find if the refill is moddable with a sprayer or something since I don't care for the fancy packaging that hikes up the price
>Santal 33
Smells like pickles and cheap leather shoe stores, really don't get the hype
>Bvlgari man wood essence
Bad, can only smell cypress doesn't last at all. Also burns on my skin
>Creed Asian green tea
Like it really smells like green tea, too expensive though for what you get but I feel if this was around €120-140 it would be quite popular

>Gucci guilty cologne
Tried it once so far don't like it hoped it would be more like Gucci guilty absolute given the name
>Gucci guilty pour homme
Worst of the line for me doesn't last very small sillage the lavender just smells weird for some reason
I have more samples but haven't tried them. PdM safanad is probably my try out for tomorrow

I tried some montale samples ive only been here for two months so take my review with a grain of salt

>black aoud
Hot garbage i HATED it it smells like VERY heavy rose and aoud i couldnt even tell if there was supposed to be anything else very synthetic and old person smelling as well
>honey aoud
Smells sweet but not in a feminine way however it does smell pretty synthetic like something is scratching the back of your throat
>chocolate greedy
the opening is wonkey and i dont like it at all but the drydown is good if you like gourmands same back of throat scratching though
>oudmazing
Not much of an opinion on this one it smells sweet id have to sample it again
>santal wood
Probably the best one out of all of them it doesnt smell stupid synthetic, i do think there a ton of light woody frags that are very similar to this one though so wouldnt be worth getting it from montale

>Lmao this is so true but inexplicable at the same time for everyone who has spent some time in educated international spheres. I remember a conference I attended long time ago at Nantes, France. We went for a posh dinner after the first day of the conference. There was me, a few Italian colleagues, a few frenchies and some other randoms. One of these randoms was German. We had a typical light hearted dinner chit chat talking about history, where are we from a bit of culture etc. The German guy didn’t contribute anyhow and just sat there silently laughing at our jokes. At some point one of the organisers asked him “and zoo are you??”. It was his time to shine. He said: “Bonn.”. Everyone was looking at him nodding heads waiting for him to tell something more about the city or himself or whatever. He probably realised that and said “That’s where Haribos originate from! Do you know what Haribo stands from?”. “Hans-Riegel-Bonn”. Silence. He apparently thought that no one has understood his wittiness so he decided to explain it further “HAns-RIegel-BOnn!”. Everyone was cringiying and hiding their laughter, so one of the frenchies said “clazzik German creativiti” to make the atmosphere bearable again. Everyone burst with laughter and the German guy understood that we’re laughing at him not with him. The rest is history. He started some autistic screeching rant about great German composers and philosophers to show how creative the German nation can be. Everyone was getting more and more amused listening to him - it was like watching a circus. Then he moved to conclusions about modern times and how EU is only a thing because of German taxpayers and how this conference couldn’t happen without their money. I’m sure that if you wanted to you could hear crickets playing their sweet Nachtmusik on the other side of the window it was so silent at our table.

>But me and, I think, everyone enjoyed the show severely. It was almost unreal conversation. The same Frenchie who triggered him broke the silence and said nonchalantly “well, letz make a toazt for Angela for letting us be here” everyone burst with laughter again and we came back to our chit chat ignoring the German guy. He left soon after. I really loved the Jeremy’s video with Creed for the same reasons. His behaviour stems from the very same dark spot in German soul that the rant of this autist during the dinner came from.

Ralph Lauren Polo is a chypre, not a fougere. It's based on artemisia, aldehydes, oakmoss, labdanum, tobacco, pine, and patchouli. It has no lavender or coumarin. Yatagan is also a chypre and is pretty similar to RL Polo. Aramis 900 is also a chypre. Aventus is also a chypre. Bleu de chanel is also a chypre.

Fougeres are based on lavender and coumarin. Polo has neither. Azzaro Pour Homme is a fougere. Paco Rabanne PH is a fougere. Drakkar Noir and Cool Water are fougeres. All of them are based on lavender and coumarin. None of them smell anything like Polo, which is a chypre.

I bought a bottle of impact which is the same as the parfum and I also own the EDT and say that the parfum is not worth the price. I'd only buy it if it was $60 or less. I feel like just applying heavier with the edt gives the same effect as the parfum.

Luca turin is right about a lot of things. Those two are examples of him being patently incorrect. Look up the structure of a classical chypre and then look at BdC and Aventus note pyramids. Enjoy!

People either love it or take the side that his work is a bit amateur. I simultaneously dig the concept and think it's cringy at the same time. I've tried:
-Cape Heartache: Got some pine and yucky strawberry shortcake
-Falling into the Sea: The lychee note was interesting but I got bathroom cleaner
-A City on Fire: By far my favourite, I get a lot of smoke in the opening then the berries come in in the drydown, it's multi staged (but it still feels like something is missing)

Try some out and come tell us what you think. It seems Every Storm/Memoirs are the top picks but I haven't tried
