Hey idiots, you can volumize and curl your hair using a good hair product and the right size curling iron (unless of course OP has afro-textured hair he can easily achieve this hairstyle).

OP if your hair is that length or shorter I recommend a 1/4 inch curling iron. Don't listen to this idiot >>14780927, 1/2 inch will not fit your strands. After you get out of the shower, put a volumizng mousse in your hair and blow it dry (I recommend using a hot air brush instead of a usual hair dryer, it's much easier and quicker). Then take the curling iron and curl it. If you're unsure how to do it properly, there are plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to use a curling iron. Afterwards, take a pea size amount of coconut oil, rub it on your hands to melt it, and gently finger comb your hair as to not disrupt the curls too much.

The curls will be tight at first due to the small size of the curling iron but they will naturally loosen up into that size after a few minutes. A light spritz of hairspray once they fall into the right size will keep them from loosening up too much.

There you go.

Forgot to add - if you have naturally frizzy hair this is a better alternative to the coconut oil. Again, pea sized amount is all you need as to not have your hair flatten and look greasy.

It's better to apply the oil before curling the hair, because you risk flattening the curls by trying to rub/comb it in after. The oil also protects the hair from heat damage. Otherwise I agree with you.
