Seriously thinking about starting a watch company. I talked to a reputable Alibaba seller who said they could have a couple of people working for me. I promised to provide them movements while they provide crowns, sapphire mirrors, etc. I got a source where I can directly buy SII Seiko movements and Miyota 9025 movements(These are used in citizen watches). They are both automatic movements, none of that quartz shit.

All I need is a good logo, brand name is already decided.... Should I pull the trigger lads? Someone talk me out of it or tell me it is a bad idea before I through 10k into this venture.

Guys I have a problem, I used to love horology and be into watches, browsing /wt/ in 2016 back when it was still on /g/. But one day my gf got me this G shock from japan, and I literally haven't taken it off since.. Its the "just works" of watches.. With my nicer ones i would always end up scratching the crystal etc being afraid I will break it.
This one is waterproof and solar powered, I even use the alarm function.
I wanna get back into automatic fine time pieces, but its hard for my autism due to g shocks extreme practicality..

The thing about G shocks is they're actually very high quality, if you look into its history; it was invented by a very based japanese man who made it his goal to make an indestructible watch, he would drop them off 3 story buildings etc. Its the favorite brand of watch for military , police, working men etc.

Great movement. The dial is very good but not amazing or memorable (unlike say the RO tapisserie or Aquanaut gradiant) but the day date functionality is useful, unique and very Lange in design. The case and bracelet are a bit bland and generic even if they are very well made. Despite the marketing it's not a sports watch.

I know it's steel but even so it personally felt too light on the wrist. I bet it would be killer in white gold or especially platinum.

This is the quartz version and unironically keeps excellent time. I have the automatic version too in black and gold and it is useless as a timekeeper. Loses time even on the wrist. I didn't expect much from a perlative ceronometer that cost less than $15.
