Went and saw the Olympea girl again today. I was very happy to find that she wasn’t wearing it today. She had something much lighter, sort of floral-citrus, didn’t see a bottle on her counter so I’m not sure what it was. No Stacy Miasma today.

I just sprayed some Dylan Blue on my wrist and had to go wash it off. It used to be a guilty pleasure of mine but after getting Aqua Quorumpilled I can't go back. Dylan Blue is literally a low quality clone of AQ, which makes no sense because it's 6x the price of AQ. You think it would at least have higher quality materials, but nope. The note separation in DB is absolute trash compared to AQ, it smells dense and noxious as opposed to open and outdoorsy. They just added in a big glop of ambroxan and norlimbanol and charge you for the Versace name.

If you like DB, save your money next time you want to reup and just get Aqua Quorum. Thank me later

Look at the beginning of this thread. Someone shits on Eros, Erosfag shows up, the next bunch of posts are people (you)ink each other. Sure, they could be samefags too, or it could just be that a bunch of people are tired of the Eros shit.

I wouldn’t do the stuff hookerfag does, but despite his eccentricities, he does seem like a good dude. He reviews a lot of niche frags (turned me on to Tuxedo), he answers a lot of questions, and he doesn’t spam. Usually there are only a handful of actual hookerfag comments per thread, the rest of his posts are 100% frag related. I can see why some people might be inclined to defend him.

I think they make a bunch of good scents. I own Essenza and Mandorlo, and they’re both quite snice. The problem I have is performance isn’t very good. I don’t think they’re worth MSRP because of that, but you can usually get them on discount sites quite cheap (I got a 150ml tester for 80.00 CAD on fragrancebuy). If you can get them cheap, I think they’re pretty worthwhile.

Yeah, they tend not to last very long. I usually get maybe 2-3 hours out of Essenza before it’s a skin scent.

Plz help, I want to make my own perfume... from scratch.

This is gonna sound crazy but hear me out. I've identified a plant that, in certain seasons of the year, emits this absolutely heavenly scent, like honey, white flowers and myrrh kinda. It smells like nothing else, and way better than any perfume I've ever smelled. To me it is what an angel would smell like. It's not the flower of the plant but the plant itself I believe.

How can I go about extracting this scent from this plant to eventually make perfume? Is it possible without access to a full on laboratory?

What's the batch code? L'HOMME INFINIMENT has had a rough decade, with very watered down batches in 2013-2014 that have a very designery vanilla base note, started to return to form in 2015-2017 but still somewhat watered down, and now the 2018-2019 batches are beast mode and reminiscent of vintage, even smell-wise. Fahrenheit is by far my favorite frag and I'm familiar with many of its reformulations so if you need any other help just let me know

Ah ok. Most fakes of Fahrenheit were produced in the 90s and early 2000s, as knockoffs of the vintage looking bottles, there's a good chance your bottle is legit. Is the batch code indented on the bottom of the box or is it printed on?

Like I said, 2016 was a sort of middle of the road year for Fahrenheit. I had a 2016 bottle before my 2018 and it was much weaker even though I got it at Sephora. Your best bet may be to sell that one off and try to get a 2018 bottle or newer, with a batch code that starts with 8 ( in your case it starts with 6 which denotes a 2016 bottle). 2019 batches are also completely reformulated and have a different formula code, 12948/A as opposed to 09588/A which is what you and I currently have. I have no idea why there was so much variation within this 09588/A formula but the formula before that one was the so called "vanilla" formula which was quickly done away with. Dior must have been listening to reviewers online and tried their best to return Fahrenheit to what it used to be. My best explanation is that the growing popularity of beastly and daring frags inspired Dior to beef up the formula again.

You'd have to make a steam distillation of the plant to produce the essential oil. I think one of the videos in the op talk about it, if not check youtube. I don't know how difficult it'd be to do from scratch, maybe there's some homemade tutorials, but I'd say you do need some kind of equipment.
Maybe your best bet is to search for someone who already makes the essential oil. Or just get a bunch of the plant and enjoy it in your garden/house. What's the plant?

How do you ensure that you get a brand new bottle from this year when you buy online?
