The one I was thinking of is just a knife but has a seat belt cutter and glass breaker- multi-function because it can be, but not much more busy than just a knife.

What about seriously durable wallets? Every leather wallet I've owned has died too soon for my liking- some wonderful Italian thing, Coach, and the cheap stuff all seem to die at the same rate.
Common Fibers makes carbon fiber wallets- look pretty badass.

I went looking for a high quality black leather belt a while ago. and my experience finding exactly zero actual black options has convinced me quality leather can't be black- so I figure I'd find something else for a wallet. Carbon fiber, Hypalon, even nylon maybe?...

Honestly you find use for a lot of random little things. I carry a razor blade in my wallet that has come in handy countless times, I've been in situations where I wanted tweezers (can't remember why)- I just like having utility at my finger tips.
Maybe it's partially an extension of how I've worked on airsoft guns without a lot of proper tools for years; even after getting a ton of tools, I still keep around various odd shaped pieces of metal and the like- never know what might end up useful when you thought it was junk.
