King shitter of the thread has arrived. On a serious note, can someone suggest me a subtle dress watch to wear as a salesperson that is not too presumptuous facing a lower to middle class earning clientele. 2000-3000k range. at that price point you're looking at seagulls, frankensteins with seagull movements, or meca quartz offerings

the mecaquartz ones are used in a lot of micro brands, and they have nice haptics but lack romance, as all quartz does

you could also look into old poljots and such, but i imagine a real poljot aviator in good condition is going to be above 200 bucks these days

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a Tudor Black Bay, either a bronze BB 79250BA, or the red BB 79230R, being the one with the burgundy fabric strap.
I already have a Ploprof, so it's not so much the want for a diver that's driving me as much as it is having a watch that can fit under my sleeve.
I've got my mind on getting a Speedmaster somewhere down the line, at which point the Tudor will be relegated to daily beater duty, if that matters.

I would agree with you, but the bracelet on my beater watch broke something fierce, so I just stuck a NATO strap I had on it from the time I bought a few of the straps to see what it looked like and figured out that they looked like shit on my watches.
So uuh, my conclusion is that they're alright as backup straps or you don't want to ding up your good bracelets or leather straps.

Yeah, I suppose what I like about the SOH is that it's a little over-the-top, almost gaudy. I guess I don't really quite have it in me to actually buy, as opposed to admiring, something that's just plain and understated, yet quality through-and-through.
Both the Longines watches look really great. It's really a company I keep forgetting, but they sure do make some beautiful pieces.
The Oris, I'm really not so sure about. The markings on the bezel look a bit off-putting to me, and the bronze-on-bronze markings on the bronze model... Well, I guess they just aren't for me.
Thanks for the tips though, I'll ruminate on the matter for a few months and pull the trigger then.

Retarded noob who is trying to learn more.

Can I find an Oyster Perpetual like this, except with a green dial? Is this a bad idea? They seem like you can get them pre-owned for a decent price, depending on a lot of factors.

Actual airplane clocks in general would look great as watches, I'm not quite sure why nobody every quite manages to capture them. I particularly like the Junghans that was used in the Bf109 and a bunch of other aircraft, I wish somebody would just do an exact 50% or whatever scale replica watch. I do have slightly smaller wrists yes, but the watch is also just a bit large. it's a 40mm. Pic related is a better fitting watch. My Seikomatic 6206-8100 (37mm). I need to get a shorter strap. However, the seller put a nice new one on before selling it though so I don't really need to get a new one.

>>14684733
Yeah I do agree 99% of the time they are utter dogshit. Really hard to find ones that look good. The skeleton watch I attached before I got for a literal steal so I figured why not. Got it for like $25. Seller originally thought it was broken but it turned out the winding stem was just worn. He found out before we even finalized the deal but kept the price he offered. Good man.

Yes I do. Most people don't wear their watches on their wrists, but webdont call them forearm watches.
I used the term "wrist" to describe the area around the carpus because i assumed most non autists woild understand than.
I'm also aware that forearm exercises won't directly give you thicker "wrists" but will give your arm more of a masculine taper at least making them kook a bit thicker.

Not a super fan of the flieger in general (that's why I don't have one arm) but damasko's design don't seem that much different than sinn to me. I can't stand bezel on fliegers and I don't really enjoy chronos that I find cluttered.
So their generic design with the brand and day window with the cross across the dial is pretty okay in my book.
