Debating getting it cut just how I normally do. I don't know if the jew fro look works? Any ideas for curly hair like this?

Conditioner is key. I've been trying to grow my hair out but it's a struggle. It is usually really dry and dreads form overnight sometimes. Eventually I'll get fed up enough to cut it.

I've been looking at some of the conditioners that the curly hair reddit recommends. What do you use? Is leave in a substitute or to be used as well?

not him but i use argan oil conditioner (doesn't have sulfates). do NOT use shampoo. Get a semi styled haircut (think like almost an undercut with longer on top) and then let it grow out from there. finally happy with my "jew fro" after years of either wearing a hat or bleaching it

My main conditioner is TRESemme Botanique Nourish + Replenish With Coconut Milk & Aloe. It's like $5 for a big 22oz bottle. I've had some success with cantu products too. Don't use any products with sulfates, silicones, or parabens they will dry your hair out and make it frizzy. I strongly recommend shampooing less often, maybe once per week, if you want to continue growing your hair.
