My eyesight is not 100% perfect but I can read and see everything I need to. When I was a child I was told that I shouldn't wear glasses because "my eyes would become lazy". Is this really true? Because I really want to wear glasses, it fits me in my opinion.

Nah, I have had .5 stigmatism and myopia for 20 years and it has never worsened. It has more to do with genetics and age. Maybe there is an environmental effect that caused previous generations to have more eyesight problems, but I don’t think there is any concrete evidence of this.

It depends on the issue. Everyone's eyes get warped over time, essentially. One of my friend's moms' prescription got progressively better over the years because her eyes were warping in the opposite shape to counter balance her prescription in a sense.

However Myopia has been shown to have links specifically to Vitamin D deficiency and not deterioration due to focusing on close-by objects which means you can help yourself if you're the average-short sighted pleb like me, by simply going out in the sun.

It depends what your vision issue is and what genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors are at play. Pretty interesting though.

I'm convinced there's no options. Every guy I know with glasses looks better without them.

Depends on your face shape. Honestly if you ask me i think the haircut has a bigger hand in making somebody look incel-ish, look at those nasty ass almost-crew cuts that their moms told them to get because it's the fastest way to get out of the barbershop and that's what their moms say they look handsome with. I feel the opposite, but I’ve been wearing glasses since 5th grade so I’m probably just insecure. Frame shopping honestly sucks and you can spend a whole day doing it and come up with nothing remotely decent. Just try on tons of different types of frames and send pics to people you trust and see what they say.
