Thanks for starting a new thread, didn't want to post this in the old one as it was on it's last legs.

Anyone here know of any good “natural fragrances"? I'm looking for something with no synthetic chemicals in it. Im male and I have pic related which I use as a daily wear and it's a very natural formula with just a couple ingredients. Thanks in advance for any help.

>> No.14617697

>>14617666
Unless you’re buying some weird hippie shit or straight essential oils, basically everything will have some synthetic ingredients. That said, Lush makes fragrances with mostly natural ingredients, using only a few “safe synthetics”, and actually have some pretty interesting scents. I like Karma and Breath of God, personally.

>> No.14617706

>>14617666
Is that what the l'occitane SA told you? All modern perfumery(i.e., since the early-mid 20th century, even moreso now) is largely synthetic. Just wear what smells good, and natural to you

>> No.14617753

>>14617697
>>14617706
Well it only has these ingredients: alcohol, aqua/water, parfum/fragrance, juniperus oxycedrus wood oil, limonene, alpha-isomethyl, ionone, coumarin, linalool, citral, geraniol. All my other colognes have a lot more synthetic chemicals. I know a lot of the chemicals in cologne today are added to preserve duration and other factors. I guess i'm just trying to escape the chemical scent they give off. I have a sensitive nose. Ill look into Karma and Breath of God anon, thanks for the recs.

>> No.14617793

>>14617753
M8, almost all those things are synthetic. Plus, the “parfum/fragrance” is probably a bunch of synthetics as well.

>> No.14617798

>>14617793
What do you consider to be synthetic? Maybe i'm the one using it wrong. But i'm saying stuff like essential oils and naturally derives fragrances are fine. Like limonene, its just derived from citrus fruits for fragrance, flavoring, and medicinal properties.

>> No.14617802

>>14617793
Your right though, i'm sure parfum/fragrance is something syntehtic, pretty vague. But i'm just trying to keep them on the low end in my colognes. I have a sensitive nose + I generally like to use more "natural" alternatives to everything.

>> No.14617812

>>14617802
Well, like I said, then, look into Lush. Other than that, I’d just be very careful about sampling things if you have a sensitive nose, don’t blind buy, but don’t worry too much about synthetics. If a fragrance smells good to you, wear it.

>> No.14617820

I don't like much attention is there any frags that smells great but doesn't get you noticed? I was thinking of going with luna rossa carbon

>> No.14617827

>>14617753
Ingredients list is not a good way to determine the composition of a fragrance. Its basically what is required to be listed(e.g. geraniol as it is an irritant and restricted in quantity by ifra). "Parfum" covers the majority of what's actually in the fragrance. In regards to non-chemical smelling fragrances, I would recommend you try some Guerlains such as vetiver and heritage. In general a lot of modern designer stuff will be more blatant with their use of aromachems.

Noir Argent was a blind buy that turned out well. Fantastic opening of myrrh leather dry cedar and incense. Smells fantastic, almost Comme Des Garcon level for the first couple hours. Yo I’ve tested a couple of MDCI frags. The two most notable are Invasion Barbare and Chypre Palatin. They’re both really good and wearable. One is a nontrivial fresh fougere with a cardamom twist the other is the most complex Chypre I’ve ever tried with that lovely animalic-sweet-fresh orthogonal axes of development that make a good chypre. Top stuff. Prices might seem hefty at first but they’re not that bad once you’ll take their samples into consideration. Together with each bottle (non bust version) you get 5x12ml of scents of your choice. You can also buy a sample set first and then subtract spent that way money from a full bottle price.

Cant possibly be a meme because i’m the only one that posts it. Its unironically very good but if you don’t like cheap/drugstore frags definitely avoid it.

Its a pine centric post-war fougere, a small category that was mostly popular in Italy, Spain and Portugal in between the traditional fougeres and the more modern aromatic fougeres. Lots of garden herbs, pine, citrus, and coumarin. Very fresh but woody enough that it’s persistent in cool weather. Older formulations had less staying power, new bottles have a pronounced dihydromyrcenol in the opening and woody amber in the base, extending the performance quite a bit.

In italy it's the standard grandpa perfume; it's not bad, but you have to like the pine flavour, and even if you do there are a a lot of better one if you spenda bit more.
It's decent if you're on a budget, but if you're young i wouldn't recommend it

Help, I want an incense heavy frag but don't wanna smell like literal Catholic Church. Armani Bois d'Encens is an example of what i don't want in that regard, it's literal Church Incense, too austere and serious. I'd like something a bit warmer and more wearable

I have a history with this scent, it started back in 2011 when I read an extremely motivational post on /fit/ which included this fragrance by name, and so I went on my university years enjoying success and mires for how I smelled.

However as the years went on it became apparent anything new was diluted, and recently I wanted to try it again but read it was discontinued in 2011, so who knows what rat has been out there selling old diluted shit.

Would anyone please recommend me something with similar notes as this, that is newer and currently made? The initial kick was anything if not generic but the lingering scent of old Chrome Legend was extremely well-liked
