Currently trying out a "vintage tropic 2.0" with a Casio W-216H. The black is a little light after a couple weeks of use, compared to the duplicate I haven't worn, but this might be due to showering with the watch. The strap would probably look better on a watch that isn't "rugged-styled" like this. I would also like to note that the taper is pretty aggressive, going from 18mm to 14mm at the buckle (over 68mm), and tapering down to 10mm at the other free end of the strap (over 118mm).

As far as construction goes, I think the pin on the buckle misaligns too easily, but the rubber itself is fine. If it fails, it'll probably crack at the watch lugs first.

I've been thinking about a Marine to complement my Stowa Flieger, as the dressier counterpart. All in all, I'm really happy with the razor sharp finishing of the case, dial and hands on the flieger, it really is worth its price. I just can't decide on the model of Marine. Central seconds is beautiful because of the big flame blued seconds hand, but the Unitas is a classic and the small seconds is a different, more classic look. I can't help you decide, as I'm on the fence myself. Now, if the Unitas-version was close in price, I'd take that one. And also, if they brought back an enamel dial version with a red 12, like one of the limited editions back in the day, I'd be all over that. Fucking fantastic, that one.
