Is a button-down too casual for a suit even if I iron it and wear a tie? I noticed that I've accidentally filled my closet with oxfords and I only have one white dress shirt left and it mysteriously shrank so the sleeves are too short.

What's a good place to get dress shirts for less than like $50 anyway? I don't really care that they're super high quality as long as they fit well enough to look ok under a jacket. I rarely wear them anyway and somehow they never seem to hold up as well as my everyday shirts. Or alternatively would a different material like a royal oxford or twill hold up better?

Yeah they're super overpriced. I got mine on discount. I like them but you should get a feel before trying as they are made from a sort of knit fabric that is not like the lacoste at all. I never give a shit about plastic buttons except on dress shirts where I always get MOP.

both of the seams are marginally over my shoulder joint, the difference between L and XL being like 0.5"

they are both boxy fits
L chest is 45"
XL chest is 48"
XL looks a little long in the body
my chest is 44" right now as sedentary so the L obviously looks a little better and tucks better without crease

my weight and probably chest measurement is going to change in the next 6 months and continue as I'm lifting again (used to)


I'm not sure if I should buy Ls and have them good for a few months until I'm back at around 45" or just XLs and grow into them shortly?? I'm hesitant because I was once an S and I'm sick of things shrinking or not fitting after a few months.
