But here's the kicker: If you aren't there on the first day, that shit will ALL be gone because your competition sniffed it out. It'll be on eBay by day's end.

Garage and estate sales are even grimmer if you have something specific in mind, because they're all a grab-bag. My dad collects porcelain, for example. He used to hunt out the estate sales specifically and we'd literally drive 20 minutes to a place, walk around, see there's no porcelain, and leave. Usually we went to more than one place in an area, but it was common that nowhere had anything worth even looking at.

My mother wants to gift me a watch but she told me I should never sell it and always keep it. I think I'm going to ask for the Stowa marine classic. I'm not worried about the design or the quality of the watch, the only thing I'm not sure about is the size. I'm going to get the 36mm version with 44mm lug to lug, in theory that would be a near perfect size for me, and also a classic size that will probably never go out of style. I just don't understand why it always looks so fucking HUGE in wrist pics. Do the people in the pictures all happen to be wristlets? I don't want to walk around with a huge dinner plate on my wrist for the rest of my life. What do?
