Irrelevant
Normie see gold and roman numerals, normie thinks watch is worth something

With the f-91w the value retention is perfect, the watch is only $9 and you can probably fit in a diamond worth $1000. Lets say the watch breaks, you can just take out the fucking diamond. Boom! True stealth wealth.
With that Roger Smith shitter you have to constantly be careful when handling the watch and all minor scratches and marks will eventually lead to the decline in value. Then you should factor in servicing that watch every few years, it is a money drain purely, not stealth wealth, unlike the f91w with a diamond inside it.
An added bonus of the f91w is that people most likely wont even bother stealing it if you leave it lying around, nothing can compete with it.

Look into antique watches from the art deco and art nouveau period.
Every high end watch brand is geared towards normies that don't have an eye for aesthetics but want to have a way to flaunt their wealth. Inb4 mechanics, they all look uninspired and basic as fuck. If you really wanted something functional you'd get a digital diving watch like Suunto makes. It's the same type of people that buy new Lamborghinis.

You're kinda delusional with this notion honestly. Most people (most ! ) will see a luxury brand and think that it's an expensive and nice watch. They'll think it's something special. You said it yourself, it's "fucking nice". Only people that are snobs will think along the lines "well it's not a ROooowleeex"
My tag heuer gets very positive attention, they think it's a luxury watch and that I'm wearing something special. Wearing that breitling will be the same for you. Even watch enthusiasts will think it's nice, because it actually has been very well received in the watch community. If you meet a watch enthusiast and you say "Yeah I went with this one I just love how nice it looks on my wrist" then they'll be completely understandable, even if they are one of those who don't like Breitling.

I want to point out one thing tho. Owning any luxury watch, ESPECIALLY a Rolex, will scream this:

The problem is that people don't know a single luxury brand except Rolex. I ask anyone who doesn't believe this to go and ask 10 of their normie friends, or better 10 random people on the street, to name them 3 or 5 good watch brands. Report with results.

Where?
I live in Europe and I know quite well and certain that normies tend to know Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer, Breitling, Tissot, Certina, and Seiko. Breitling is one of those brands most people tend to know about in my experience. Many, but not all also know about Patek, because it's Patek. I would say Cartier too. And Longines, because they've seen it so many places. At least anyone who are just a little bit interested in watches. The thing is, in my experience, is that most people are to some degree aware of brands, and those brands I mentioned are very recognizable. You don't have to care about watches to know them, people happen to know what it is because they have grown up seeing it on the front of watch boutiques and their models on display in the windows.

Maybe you're right, but I still think the design is overall extremely attention seeking. There are plenty of watches in the $5000ish range that are far, far more subdued.

Maybe I'm just a heathen for liking it in the first place. Not sure I can justify buying another mid-tier shitter anyway as I know in the back of my mind if I ADs weren't turning me away Rolex is where my money would be going instead.

If I asked an AD to order a brown one in for me to look at are they likely to say yes? I've never seen one in person, ADs never seem to have them. Or maybe I can give them my number and ask them to call me up when they get one, not sure if Breetlings are allocated like that though.

Yes, this watch draws attention because of big surfaces with high polish. But remember that this is what normies think is normal anyway. They are not like us in /wt/ or in the general watch community who prefer a little under the radar or classical designs. Normies are impressed by modern designs and wrist presence. So most people won't find it weird that your breitling pops on your wrist.

Because of my experience about this. I don't need your experiment. I've been talking with people about watches for over 15 years, because I'm a watch enthusiast who like to have conversations with people about watches (yes with normies). I know most people in the streets will know at least 5 watch brands, it's too easy. If you'd said 10 watch brands then maybe the result would be in your favor.

Most women, no. The kind of woman who'd go home with you because of an expensive watch, yes. Gold diggers know what they're looking for. The only chicks you'll pull with something like those Bulgaris are the shit-tier gold diggers, the ones who know they aren't hot or classy enough for the real rich guys so they go for middle class betabux instead 'cause hey, anybody who makes a salary instead of an hourly wage is a huge step up for them. These chicks are the worst because not only are they a major step down in personality and attractiveness but they also go full-bore trying to turn a hookup into a relationship, and the really dangerous part is that they're by far the most likely to pull shit to try and get pregnant so you get stuck with them.

You're missing the point entirely. It's not that you have to drop 20k on a watch, it's that you're not going to impress anybody by wearing a tacky 3k one, unless you go clubbing in an area shitty enough that a 3k watch is the most expensive thing in the place. The point is that ostentatious displays of wealth don't work when there are other people around you displaying a hell of a lot more of it.

If you want to impress people in bars and don't have Patek money, do it by dressing well, by having a good personality and confidence, being well-styled, hanging out with attractive people, whatever, just not by flashing around a tacky gold fashion watch.

>>14411118
This is exactly it, and it applies to the whole wealth game in general. You wanna play, you gotta have it all or it's gonna fall apart, the watch is no good without the car, the house, the clothes, the budget for expensive dinners and drinks at the hottest clubs, the connections, everything. Wear something tasteful that fits your realistic budget and you'll get a whole lot more respect from your peers and maybe even attract women who might actually be compatible with you and worth a second date.

The concept is cool but the execution not so much, especially given how expensive it is for a generic ETA shitter. The nicest part of the whole thing is the box it comes in. Christopher Ward have done a number of somewhat similar watches that use reclaimed metal from famous aircraft and race cars and stuff, they don't do it as blatantly but the watches themselves are generally better looking, they're similarly priced, and they come with an in-house movement.

To answer your question, yes.

If it's a standard size it can be done with a variety of off the shelf parts (which you could even do yourself). If it's a whacky size/shape then your watchmaker of choice can do it, however they'll charge you more for having to cut/shape the crystal to fit.

Is Patek the only company that makes a push-button dual time complication like this?
