Nice to see a Muhle Glasshute thread. The SAR is fine fit for purpose watch that I love but after saving for about two years I bought the Muhle Glasshute Lenova Chronograph.
Once owning a chronograph, I started using it a lot. Sandwich cooks in 2 1/2 mins, 15min car parks are no problem any more and it looks amazing. Very accurate, 10 ATM water resistance and 55hrs power reserve fully wound, although the papers say 48hrs.
Muhle Glasshute are a highly underrated watch maker, considering the company is about 170 years old.

The charge hand of my Eco-Drive hasn't moved the entire week I have owned it. Been trying to charge it for the past 3 days on direct sunlight but the hand is still stuck in the middle. Any of you know what could cause this? Other than that the watch has been good to me.

Get a decent 3 watch collection for under $1000 and work your way up with the savings to Omega and Rolex without wasting your time on tons of mid-tier filler.

I first heard of TAG Heuer back in the early 2000's when my older brother really wanted one. He ended up getting a two-tone 1500 (Obama's watch) from my parents when he graduated high school in 2005. I thought it was a cool looking watch, and my brother told me how TAG Heuer is for "young people" and Rolex is for "older people". Being the younger brother, I believed him (and he's correct to a degree), so when I graduated high school I got my parents to buy me a Rolex Explorer instead, so that I can feel more "serious" and "grown up" compared to him. I actually wear my cheap Seiko 5 and a mid tier Victorinox watche the most. I own a company and it is kind of pretentious to walk around with an expensive watch all day in front of employees. Also they don't play well in sales meetings in certain industries. Only on nights out and to events do I pull out one of the nice ones.
