If you kept your feeling out of this, you'd have a good argument against classic style. Then again, what if heating fails you or becomes costly? What if A/C fails you? What if you just want to go for a walk on a rainy/snowy day? Only thing I find comfortable in modern fashion is the range of freedom in wearing only a tshirt and running shoes. Then again, it does not make me look as good as a suit or some smart casual look. I don't feel as comfortable either.
