GENTLEMEN. Wristwatches are, in my OPINION, one of the few pieces of jewelry a man can wear. They add some extra "oomph" to an outfit and send a subtle signal that you're punctual and responsible. HOWEVER, there are TONS of overpriced watches out there, especially if you start looking at more high-end brands. But as you know, Alpha's here to find YOU the best deals on SLEEK SEXY STYLISH products...

So feast your eyes on this little number from today's video sponsor: MVMT. Look at this - a HIGH-GRADE Japanese quartz chronograph with THIRTY METERS of water resistance and interchangeable straps. And here's the kicker: it only costs 150 bucks, so you're getting a premium timepiece without breaking the bank.
WHOOOAAAATT? That's right guys, LESS THAN 200 dollars for a luxury watch that would typically run you 600 or more. This is thanks to MVMT's revolutionary distribution system which CUTS OUT THE MIDDLE MAN, allowing them to sell high-quality products without the markup. BOOM, now you've got a great watch AND can still afford a dinner date with that spicy senorita you've been eyeing for a while.
Guys, there's a link down in the description; it will take you to the OFFICIAL AlphaM collection curated by yours truly. And make sure you use the promo code "Alpha20" to get TWENTY PERCENT off your first purchase.

Redpill me on grey market dealers.

I went to buy a Speedmaster yesterday but I left the AD in a fit of FURIOUS ANGER when I realised that Omega raised the price less than a week ago and now the AD couldn't offer me a SPEEDSHITTER at the price they could before.

Will I get a manufacturer warranty from a grey?

Good man. Now that the overhyping of the brand is over and the hueg watch craze is done, Panerais are back to being a little more low-key.

They are simply but solidly made, very robust. If you can find one of the older Unitas-powered ones (inb4 cheap movement, blah blah blah) you are getting as close to a bulletproof watch as you can.

Just be careful about fakes because, being simple watches, they are also very, very easy to fake. Make sure you get one with all the boxes and all the papers. Make sure all the numbers match up.

If you're buying private sale, make sure the seller has a good reputation; however, it may be worth it to pay a little extra to buy from a second-hand dealer who can put a guarantee behind the authenticity of their product.

Pams wear a lot smaller than you'd think. I'm a total wristlet (6 3/4") but a 44mm Luminor fits me just fine. While the cases are wide, the lug-to-lug is only about 50mm, which is about the same as a Tudor Black Bay (though the BB's bracelet makes it wear bigger than 50mm)

The rattling of the folded end links is a big annoyance tho. I can understand why you would want toreplace them with solid ones. A lot of rolex owners want solid ones.

The "window" is part of a small inverted L-shaped metal lock. The lower bar of the L has the window and sits on the bezel. The vertical bar of the L locks in with the teeth of the bezel itself and has a hole through which the crown stem passes. You have to unscrew the crown to lift the lock and turn the bezel.

The bezel is a normal 120 click unidirectional bezel, but they added this because it's a reissue of an original model from the 70s had a free-spinning bezel and the lock was necessary to prevent it from moving around once set.

Why do people still wear watches? What does the value of a watch have to do with who you are? We know we can't buy the 'cool' watches, because they're boring and expensive but what has that value really got to do with who you are?

We are in a time before social media and television where we need new, connected things to show us the world. But they aren't the same as the 'cool' things of yesteryear because they can't be found on your wrist. So we need to create an experience where the watches are the most valuable things we can afford.

But don't expect your wristwatch to get you anywhere.

I saw a guy in the video below who bought a watch for his wife to wear whenever she went out with some other guy. If that isn't your thing, but if people are buying watches because they can't afford to buy something better, that's fine and I think everyone has a right to express themselves. My point isn't that they shouldn't have these expensive electronic devices made, but that they shouldn't be made as cheaply as possible and then thrown away. This isn't like watching the Discovery Channel and realizing that everything is made of plastic and that nothing can be as valuable as something made and manufactured in Brazil. In fact, watchmaking can be seen as something that benefits from human labor, which is why we have this sort of tradition in Brazil that we use it and that we don't just look at what's cheap. The irony of this is that most watches and watchesmakers aren't actually made here. They are made in China. That's where the watches are made from and that's where the jobs are.

We also use some traditional techniques and make other things from parts of the world that we wouldn't necessarily get in Brazil. We make many, many watches from Chinese parts. That is an obvious example.

Here you have me going to my watch case.

I have a Vostok which is a crowd pleaser, even though it's kind of a meme watch. If I'm within a minute by the end of the day it's a success.

Two Raketas, which in hindsight were both way too small for me even though I already have small wrists. But thankfully they were kind enough to put "MADE IN CCCP" so that when I die they might be worth something for historical value. I need to change the minute hand every few days.

I also have a Pobeda which is unironically my favorite because I wore it for so much of high school that I just have fond memories of wearing it. Most accurate one I've ever had, although the power reserve is probably 25 hours.

You can share my post if you want. But be warned. I'm not your normal man. And you are so much safer in the knowledge that I won't let you. Just to be on the safe side, a watch is a very dangerous thing. I got a little caught up on this when I was getting my watch. It was only last week that my wife caught me when I was checking the time at a cafe I was visiting and I looked over and I realized that my watch was gone. I took my watch into the restaurant only to find that it had been completely smashed. He's got this thing made out of copper and brass and in some parts looks like a very large watch. You put it through a lot of hell for the watch to survive and after we get a replacement. The way it's made is a lot like a real watch and it gets dirty very quickly. There have been times where I have been so close to breaking my wrist that I got the hell back to the restaurant and just sat down and said hi.

MK watches are what would be regarded as “fashion watches”, ie very low quality sweatshop produced trash that probably cost $3 to produce and are the price they are because of the name slapped on the case. Buy from reputable watch companies not fashion brands. At $80 find a good Seiko or Citizen.

Will get you more bitches than an omega, lets be honest here.
Every cunt knows michael kors way better than omega, the'll notice it pretty fast.
Getting holes attention with watches is pretty sad but if you want to at least get the cheapest but most effective bait.
With an omega you have to cope and justify spending retarded amounts of money.
>noo noo, i just got it for me, i love omega
Lol, yeah sure.
