If you are a student, get BoF education for free and read their archive articles about Hedi. He has an interesting approach towards the subcultures he references (doesn't only reference, kind of becomes part of them - read the articles and you'll understand).

I think the first Celine collection was a miss, but a necessary statement that had to be done and now after the other two successful shows, I can firmly say I like the direction he is going towards to at Celine. It's a good take on just plain good garments, with a smart touch. Something that we need in this current era of loud branding and streetwear. Of course the shift towards a more tailored look is well documented and not by any means an invention of Hedi, but I think he can once again play a major role in this newish wave. However I do think the current streetwear & hiphop wave still has 1-4 years left in the tank. So I think saleswise Celine won't be as dramatic as the SLP era was, as it's not necessarily the hottest thing right now. Pricing is very ruthless and apparently won't be the easiest thing to find on sales. The first things that they've been selling have missed the wyatts, the d02's, l01's etc. Similar items are being offered, but I'm still waiting for those super hits that keep selling season after season.

Overall Hedi continues to be one of the most interesting characters in fashion and I'm excited what he is going to do in the future.
