Just got a few samples in, goslings. Stand out are both Tom Ford, for different reasons.

Plum Japonais - Smells nice and fruity, but not in a sweet, flowery way, more the smell of fruit skin, sort of sweet but sort of green and earthy. It's got spice in it too, could wear this on warm outdoor evenings or cozy winter nights in.

Noir Anthracite - If you want to smell like a man, this is it. Not a pretty man either, it smells like stone and tar and cold. Not a 'nice' smell, but a very interesting one. If you want to bag a milf, wear this with a scowl.

Hi guys, I'm a pleb having some issues with picking a scent. Women's perfumes smell better to me than men's perfumes, this is probably by design. So do I wear the perfume I am attracted to, which would probably be something feminine, or do I wear a perfume that a woman would be attracted to? Fyi I don't have this issue with clothing or anything else, but fragrances to me seem more ambiguous

>> No.14255540

Good question. I don't think that any of mens Guerlain perfumes smell old but defo they're for 25+ folks. Can't really think of anything that would suit a zoomer. However, you can pull them off being a teenager if you have the right mature vibe

What kind of perfumes/notes do you enjoy? I can kinda walk you through my process

As a rule of thumb, try to pick stuff that fits all three:
1) Suits your personality, appearance and clothing
2) You personally enjoy
3) The women you want will enjoy

You'll have some leeway with smelling a bit feminine if you can pull off looking a bit feminine as well; I'm bi and wear a ton of slp/skinny jeans so this helps for me lol

In general though the vast majority of scents can be pulled off by the right man or woman; even Angelina Jolie apparently wears (or used to) Bvlgari Black which would be too harsh for a lot of guys i know

The scent & opening is nice, generally likeable and pretty safe, the performance isn't great but not terrible.

It’s still a long shot, since we don’t even know if she does escort, though it seems somewhat likely, and I have no idea if she’ll be anywhere near Amsterdam then. I was wondering if /effay/ could help me find a cologne/perfume to fit me. I want it to be an every day kind of wear that fits my overall personality and dress.

I'd say my personality is a bit like a jester or a fool. Always trying to get people to smile but at the same time I make myself way to vulnerable to people way to often, because I have the foolish notion that if I'm honest and kind to other people they'll be honest and kind back. It's never worked but that doesn't stop me from trying

My wear is a bit playful. Hawaiian shirts, tie dye, old thrift clothes. There's also most always a purposeful clash of some sort. Example would be Black V-neck, khaki denim, and black coach boots. Another example would be white t shirt, bright orange addidas trackpants, and green golf-le-fluers.

Basically, I want to smell how these flowers look. Thank you for your suggestions

Hey guys. Im looking for a signature fragrance to fit my personality, and looks. (Med-looking, kinda mysterious type, early 20's).

Don't really want an 'office-y" type of frag, (apparently like BDC and Terre d'Hermes). I've also sampled Dior Sauvage and found it to be quite 'boring'.

Please assist a noob.

England, so it can be very cold at times, but I’ll test it out. It seems to sit quite close to my skin but the opening can be a little cloying, but when it dries down to the wood and spices I think it’s much nicer.

And Even if the animalic notes are toned down, it probably makes it way more wearable. Tastes change another big factor is that people used to smoke everywhere and always making noses way less sensitive. You probably needed a lot more punch to project beyond your reeking clothes.

I've tried the vintage stuff and I think the whole "animalic" thing is overblown anyway. It's definitely stronger, that's for sure.

Modern Kouros, vintage Kouros, whatever. It's a totally wearable, almost-but-not-quite year-round fougere. Just don't spray it like it's Axe.
