Why are the people more obsessed by their look also the ones who end up losing completely their touch with reality about it?

There are hundreds of celebs who have destroyed their faces and bodies with countless surgeries; well over the point where it's obvious that more surgeries aren't going to undo the damage done, but if anything they'll worsen it. But still, they continue.

Is it a full blown dysmorphic disorder?

I'm not psychologist, but I'd be willing to be the more someone cares about their aesthetics, the greater of a dysphoric disorder they have. Most normal happy people get to a certain point and are happy.

The Bogs also have hormonal disorder called Acromegaly (like Gigantism, except your growth plates have fused so only the soft tissue keeps growing) which fucks up facial features. Their surgeries could have been an attempt to delay/minimize their disorder.

Have you ever worked on something where you think you've got it, but then just tweak it just a little since something is ever so slightly not good enough? And then it happens again? And again? That's what happened to them.

Wow, thanks for pointing out the acromegaly thing. I had never heard of this. I'm attempting to fact check and it sounds more like speculation than a report of a confirmed diagnosis.

>They deny ever having gone under the plastic surgeon's knife, with one French report suggesting a hormone disorder often associated with gigantism could be the cause of their blown-out features.

they don't, it's just a rumor probably spread by them to justify their bad choices with surgery.

i believe it's a condition not plastic surgery. see pic 2 > 3, the chins got bigger. i doubt if that was plastic surgery they would have gotten the chins further enlarged after pic 2.

Egolomaniac fear of dying in my opinion. The older you get, the more wrinkly and "hanging" your face gets, the more you'll get the clue that you wont last forever. Some people cant cope with that. That's why we have 1000+ "help me iam bolding" threads on this board. People cant accept the fact that life means change and leads to death.
