Sup /fa/. Started an office job recently, so I'm trying to expand my business casual wardrobe a bit. Any tips and inspo? I've just been wearing brogues, chinos, and a shirt, but it's gotten old

I'll dump some pics when I get home a bit later.

Honestly not gonna lie but H&M has better budget chinos than uniqlo. I guess the one thing uniqlo has going for them is the free hemming, but their skinny cut is too skinny while the slim is like regular cut.

Bought a few from H&M in a slim cut and they are perfect

How relaxed is your dress policy? Mine is very relaxed and all I wear to my desk job is nice jeans and a nice tee shirt, hoodie, or button down. Sometimes I wear khakis. In winter I wear a sweater every once and a while. Feels good.

My last job required a collared shirt & no jeans. When I worked there I purchased a lot of button downs and sweaters from thrift stores. I felt like I was an old man and I was like 21. I'm glad I don't have to have such a restricted wardrobe any more.

Pretty lax. I can get away with pretty much what you described, but I'm also looking to dress nicer during the week since I'm trying to move up in the company in a year and you know, dress for the job you want.

Maybe 3/5 of the week pants and shirt, and more casual during the rest

Recovering NEET here: Is there any good place to shop for professional (men's) if I have disproportionate, grotesquely large hips? I'm not overweight or anything, but my hips still come out to 88 centimeters. ( 67cm at the waist )

I always used to just wear jeans on the hips to avoid the problem as a teenager, but that wouldn't work for other kinds of fits.

Thanks for the tip.

So I only own a pair of brogues and these park avenues from allen Edmond. Does the cap toe make these too formal to wear for business casual, or should I spring for a different style of black shoe?

Nah not too formal, provided you don't have them polished to a full retard mirror shine. Maybe grab some plane toe bluchers though. Also, what brogues? Those aren't too formal, generally. The more ornamentation/brogueing the less formal, I've generally gathered

Park avenues, this color I believe. Swiped both on eBay. The park avenues have some scuffing on the toe, but I'm sure that will get better as I regularly lotion them and probably a bit of polish.

I'll look into some black bluchers though. I'll let the captoes be for anything I wear a tie for v

Nothing is more cringe than over dressing.

Especially for an office job.

Women at the company want to fuck Chad who's wearing ultraboosts and jeans and a tee at the office while you're clomping around with a shitty Seiko on your wrist, slim wool pants and Allen Edmonds

You gotta make it look like you're.more valuable than they are so you don't have to follow the rules as much.

>> No.14206074

>>14205969
It depends. Breaking rules is more cool than the look itself, and even the rule of breaking all rules is a rule that can be broken. It's more important to be comfortable and look self-assured than any other rule.

Watchfags will always lose on the comfort and smug condescension front anyways, since they can't escape their garish oil prince mindset.

I like Brooks Brothers and Kamakura. For BB, wait for the 4 for $200 deals and avoid non-iron, it's shit. I've also heard good things about J Press, Gitman Vintage, Mercer & Sons, and Ratio. Drake's is good but it's expensive.

>> No.14206146

Black in general is a more formal color and pairs with way less. Brown is the way to go for more casual looks. If you want something a little more contemporary, burgandy/oxblood is also a good choice and pairs with more than it doesn't.

It's kinda hard to find an intermediate in price, especially if you have to buy new (and want quality construction). AE really is the best bang for your buck new shoe. I'd look for used vintage Florsheim, AE, Alden, Bostonian, Johnston & Murphy stuff. I think all of them have made calf and cordovan PTBs. Thrift stores are your friend for that stuff if you're on a budget.

Black can also be your key to very minimal simple outfits. Grey pants and a black turtleneck is casual but elegant. The key to business casual is perfect fitment, understated classic style, and the very best quality your can afford. These are merely the clothes for work so express your individuality elsewhere.

You faggots are beyond saving, the type to wear a bright blue suit with light brown shoes.
Go to uniqlo or H&M if you’re twink built, and buy a DARK grey and navy suit. Wear them with BLACK shoes, they elongate your proportions and simply look better that retard tier brown (lol) shoes. Leave brown leather for boat shoes and loafers. Then, go get yourself a couple of dress (the type with neck and arm sizes) oxford button collar shirts. Suit up and leave the top button undone, that’s how you BUSINESS CASUAL. All the suggestions ITT are deadass straight casual

Black shoes are for fucking dorks. Oxfords are great with a sport coat or blazer, but a dark suit is more formal boring lawyer tier and is probably going to need an actual dress shirt with a finer fabric and point collar and tie.
