At my work there is one guy who always wears Light Blue, one who wears Armani Code Profumo, and two others who wear Sauvage every day. About half of the women wear a perfume of some type. I've smelled Light Blue (female version), Chance, and Black Opium, among others. This is in a very casual work environment in suburban southern California. I also smell Sauvage on a regular basis when out and about in Los Angeles. It could be your nose or that people aren't wearing fragrance where you live. Do you not notice women wearing perfume? This is fantastic. Smells clean, classy, and classically masculine but contemporary and unique at the same time. Think of a fougere kind of vibe but with a strong dose of mint, citrus, birch, and ginger. Starts off super fresh and invigorating and gets smoother and spicier as time goes on. Lasts a good while. 100ml testers go for $30 USD. I highly recommend checking this out for spring/summer.

It's not bad. People nowadays are used to sheer, androgynous inoffensive fragrances. Anything with obvious markers of masculinity like Drakkar Noir are demonized and shamed mercilessly. No wonder you see TV shows making fun of it all the fucking time.

In real life however, it gets compliments pretty often when people don't know what they're smelling. Funny how that works right?

eh, not really. I think the name is misleading. Its a bright, green, sharp vetiver I would pull for on a spring day.

There arent many vetivers I would put in the date night category - vetiver is quite medicinal on me and although its pretty fresh and masculine, its not particularly sexy or snuggly.

French Lover is a pretty standard vetiver. For the price, I would opt for Vetiver Extraordinaire - it seems more refined, woody, and wearable.

Fragrances in the vein of Grey Vetiver:Terre D'Hermes Intense Vetiver, Lalique Encre Noire (Sport for the warmer season A'l extreme/regular when it gets colder) and Mugler Cologne. A designer that makes more niche type scents is Narciso Rodriguez. I love the for him and for her line. Now depending on the store it might carry more 'avant-garde' designers such as Comme des Garcons of which I suggest trying Kyoto, Hinoki, Sugi and Wonderwood.

Fresh vetiver scents: Guerlain Vetiver, Vetiver Extreme and Grey Vetiver. If you have money or like to sample try Chanel's Sycomore, Dior's Vetiver from the exclusive line, Dyptique Vetyverio and Byredo Bal d'Afrique.

Well, it’s a great city overall. Lots of good food, great frag shopping, got your coffee shops if weed is your thing, great bars, and the Dutchies are generally based as fuck as a people. Friendly, but they speak their mind, and if you act like a dumbass, they’re gonna let you know about it.

As far as the sex goes, it can be hit or miss depending on what you do. Amsterdam has 3 red light districts: a main one in De Wallen that everyone knows about, and two smaller ones in Singel and De Pijp that mostly only locals go to. De Wallen has hotter girls overall, but many are just there to rip off tourists and will give you shit service. The smaller areas have less attractive women overall, but are cheaper and generally better service, since the girls are mainly servicing locals, so they want to make regular clients. In De Wallen, always ask the girls what you get for your money before going inside, if you have anything you want to do, tell them ahead of time and work out any extra fees involved. If the girl seems to be trying to hurry you in the door, or seems to be dishonest, don’t go in.

For the best possible time, though, if you really want to say fuck it, and are willing to spend, escorts are your best bet. I use Society Service (societyservice.com) often, and never had a bad time. You get a gorgeous, charming, elegant women, nd they train their girls very well. Can’t recomm them enough. Dita (ditavip.com) is also great if you want crazy porn sex. Both options require you to stay in a 4 star or better hotel, though.

Fun time overall. I’d try it. If you don’t like it, no big loss, and you’ll probably have a lot of fun.

Yup. I remember going to Tokyo Disney Park with my ex one day, it was hot as fuck and we got one of the old trains that didn’t have AC, so everyone was sweating like crazy. No BO smell. None. Read somewhere that Japanese and Koreans have some gene that prevents them from producing BO, not sure how true that is, but they definitely don’t smell.

I think the aversion to fragrance is a cultural thing. Like, the Japanese value harmony, and by wearing fragrance, you’re forcing your smell onto others who may not like it. In Japan, it’s important to think not just about yourself, but how you impact those around you, and anything that may adversely impact those around you is strongly discouraged.

Hello the review anon here who did the zoologist and some Imaginary author. My last one was Cape Heartache, this one is like I said Every Storm a Serenade. Got it sprayed on my arm right now

ESAS: The sailors fragrance. Literally this is what a salty sea dog would wear, in fact its whats he would smell like without this. Salty blast and damp woody. Not quite the woody I am fond of though, some say it smells like a "rotting pier" and I can see that. Anyone who loves the ocean, I dont mean the beach, I mean the ocean, will love this. Very salty and the vetiver and eucalyptus really enhance the salty "sting". You can smell spruce but its on the bench, not playing much. The marine notes are authentic. Smells like dock sea water. It is NOT fishy though if thats what you have in mind. Thought I would like it but its not for me, but any of you costal guys would love this. Wear this to your salty sea saloons.

You might also enjoy Aqua Allegoria Jasminora by Guerlain and Bvlgari Jasmin Noir (sweet take on jasmine) and Mugler's Alien (loud ambery jasmine)
>>14190090
The original doesn't have the amber making it a fresh lavender scent. Good for spring and or summer.

Well, disregarding the obvious trolls >>14190142 >>14190156, summer is probably the worst time to visint Japan, depending on where you are visiting it can go from really fucking humid hot (Tokyo area) to really fucking scorched earth hot (Kyoto). It's a little better as you go further up north. That being said I suggest getting really good unscented deodorant and maybe some ultra fresh aquatic fragrances like Versace Pour Homme, Mugler Cologne, AdP Blu Mediterraneo line, Hermes Jardin, Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria, etc.

I love woody scents (all kinds of woody). Got my hands on samples:
AdP Ginepro di Sardegna - you can easily smell it from a far. Performance is maginificent and there are beautiful hints of allspice, nutmeg and juniper. This is a great smell for just wandering around in parks in the evening. Would certainly recommned.
AdP Mirto di Panarea - the first hit is kinda cheap smelling, but if you let it rest it swiftly becomes quite sweet (I personally didn't expect that), like a rose mixed with mirtle. Sadly the mirtle smell is way more subtle compared with the rose. There is also a bit of lemon and jasmine. It feels like an oldfashioned fragrace and I'd chose carefully when to wear it. If used properly though this can land a great impression.

Did anyone ever tried the Boadicea fragrances? I love the tin celtic shields and the general presentation of the brand but cannot get a grip on sample.

I have Ginepro Di Sardegna and I adore it. I think Fico Di Amalfi is nice, but not fresh enough although it lasts the longest. Ginepro seems like the best one in the line for a balance of freshness and longevity. Yours doesn’t last too long on me, but it does smell amazing.

Ok, so, Dodo and Chameleon:

Chameleon, I do get a ton of florals, especially in the opening. I almost smelled like nail polish remover at first, but as it started to dry, the fruit and wood started to come out. I still get florals, especially creamy ylang ylang and frangipani, but I also get a lot of mango, coconut, and starfruit. Very tropical smelling. I get something woody as well, plus that salty “beach skin” smell. Very snice. I definitely see what the people on fragrantica saying they’re smelling banana mean. The combination of the tropical fruit, snices, and creamy florals do smell kind of like banana.

Dodo, I’m getting a lot of berry (almost smells like blueberry) and litchi, with a very snice fougere in the background. There’s also something kind of waxy, almost camphorous there. Not sure what that is, maybe the sandalwood. Very interesting take on a fougere.

Very happy with both. My housekeeper loves Chameleon.

I just figured it out: Dodo kinda smells like those blue gumballs you’d get back in the day. That plus the woods and green notes. I knew it reminded me of something, that was bothering me.

I wear SE a lot more, but I enjoy TV so much more when I do wear it because it puts a smile on my face every time I get a whiff of it and it really lifts my mood.

>> No.14196898

You have to be careful with it. Two sprays for subtlety. Three to make your presence known. Four is classed as chemical warfare.

I rarely get compliments from it (but it did get told I smelled sexy by a drunk lady in a pub) but it takes a bit of confidence to wear it. Or if not confidence, not caring that some people may not like it. Some say it smells like an ash tray (I disagree), but once it dries down and the sweetness of the raspberry comes through it’s incredible. Waking up the next morning and burying your nose in to it and it’s 100% raspberry is heavenly.

But it’s expensive and divisive. Samples should be easy to come by but maybe put up a bit of extra money and get a slightly larger sample. I ended up buying three 1ml samples because I couldn’t decide on it.

It’s masculine, it’s sexy, it’s a little bit primal, it’s bold, it’s all the things I’m not, but I’ll be damned if I don’t feel that way wearing it.
