Honestly, the whole experience was pretty underwhelming. After a few days it already showed +99 with gold, but I'm assuming those girls were way below my (his) league.
I only swiped right on girls I found attractive. I don't remember when I started exactly but I have 43 matches now. I would get around 3-4 matches a day but some days went without matches completely.
And it was never really the actually interesting girls who swiped back at me, more just the "average attractive" ones without a sign of a good personality or anything that would make them stand out.

If you face is very imperfect, like, you might not be very easy to look at, which is not good. But very few people are like that. Some people are very beautiful, but not easy to look at, and in fact can be a bit scarey if their personality is very cold or emotionally vacant.

Other people have faces that are simply "easy" to look at, and are appealing, appealing is not the same as beautiful. Movie actors tend to have these faces, that are "appealing" and easy to look at. Models, are actually more beautiful, but shockingly not so easy to look at, that's why they are models, because you want to look at them from a distance and just admire the face, you don't necessarily want to look at and are comfortable looking at it, or want to have a conversation or watch for a prolonged period, because most people dont look like that.
