Yeah, it has a dentist glove kind of medicinal note that is rough. Some ouds are kind of medicinal, but not in that same way. Just sprayed on some of my sample of oud wood, after wearing pure oud oils almost exclusively for the last 2 months and it smells awful. It’s fine. Marketing in itself is an autistic practice, wear what you like. Only problem I see with using this as a daily driver is the performance issues post-reformulation. It already had soft projection and average longevity to begin with, and from what I understand the current batches are weaker. If you’re using it as a work/school frag, you might need to take the bottle with you or carry a decant for reapplication in order to get a full day out of it.

Got my Alexandria Fragrances dupe of Fahrenheit on Saturday and I’ve been wearing it for a few days. First thing I notice is the performance is very strange and many people online say it has to “macerate” for two weeks before its truly strong. It starts out light when you spray it and gets stronger the longer its on your skin. This makes me skeptical and makes me think they’re just diluting arab oils and selling those to spray.

The smell itself is incredible... it has this extreme electrifying ozonic quality to it that’s completely unique to Fahrenheit that the current version doesn’t have. Imagine a sweltering hot day, insects and cicadas noise is deafening, you smell the fresh cut grass and all of nature. It’s a kind of depressing scent actually because nature can’t even smell like this anymore because of all the pollution and mass extinction happening everywhere, no doubt ironically contributed to by the fragrance industry.

Tobacco Vanille is just a pungent Maple syrup to me. There dry down after ~45 min is good but it's not worth it to smell horrible until then.

Depends if you like these kind of scents. The Colonia is a old school barbershop citrus scent with a very prominent lemon note. The Club one is a little more on the woodsy side. Performance is poor for both tho, but you know they are to be worn in the summer. If said gent could let you smell them before hand and you like them, it'd say the are a great deal.

Honestly a girl like that will really appreciate anything that is clean, masculine and on the fresher side. Think BdC, Allure Homme Sport (regular or Eau Extreme), YSL L'Homme, AdG Profumo and so on. Some of these might seem "generic" but remember she probably has little to no experience or knowledge of fragrance.

Slumberhouse frags are something else. They’re true extraits, almost syrupy. Apparently, Josh doesn’t like top notes since he feels that they disappear too fast, so his frags are all heart and base notes. Probably why they’re all so heavy and thick. Also like that he doesn’t give a fuck about IFRA rules. Really great frags, gotta grab Norne, Kiste, and maybe Baque at some point. Great. Vetiver rounded via cedar, Cedar brightened via green angelica and galbanum. Definitely in the running for summer signature - although it probably shines in spring and fall.

Good. Reminds me of Lalique White but more woody and more sophisticated. Somewhat floral. I'll finish the sample but its not really for me. I think it would be lovely on a female, though definitely unisex.

Do you think it’s necessary to have sweet fragrances in your collection? The closest I have is Tobacco Vanille, but that’s not sweet in the way I’m thinking. I love the smell of Ultra Male, but I don’t think it suits me, but despite that I keep thinking about how much I’d like to own it.
