I'm a senior in high school so I feel like it should be noted that a lot of the trends from the 2000's are back in style. I see the long sleeve under the tee shirts a lot and half the kids wear wallet chains. It's more of the guys I skate with that dress like that than anyone else but still, kind of cool to see.

other than dropping girl jeans, style stays the same for the next few years. by 2010 i don't give a fuck about anything and just wear sweat pants or whatever

I'm 24. Early 2000s was Elementary so basic department store shit like obnoxious tees, ill fitting pants , sketchers. Middle school was skater style so skinny jeans (before it was cool) chunky skate shoes, tight tees. High school was scenecore. Skinnys, deep V's, vans/lo pro sneakers/toms, ostentatious colorways, etc

I was a kid around 07 to 09,i remember all my friends at school being super into monster and DC. I think I spent about 100 dollars on my Rob Dyrdeck shoes. My friends would drink monster and collect the tabs, cause if you send them in you get clothing and shit.

I was a skater punk from the hesh scene for a long time, the kind that threw themselves down big stairs and rails versus the technical manny guys.

Now I dress full prep, ironically. Getting older will do that to you.

I wouldn't call myself the average kid, but I had a few pieces of oversized clothing I loved to death, especially a super big black Columbia jacket (around 2-3xl, still doesn't fit me now). I'd always want to get all my clothes about a size too big, and around 13-15 I started wearing a ton of graphic tees. Wore a lot of shorts and cargo pants/shorts as well

Socal used to be Mexico. It's always had a huge spanish speaking population. The only thing that changed is Disney realized that they were missing out on a ton of money by not catering to a huge percentage of locals and fans. A complete disaster. I wanted to go through a more scene/emo phase (and in terms of music etc., I did), like my friends at the time in 06/07, but even then I knew I was just too chubby to wear skinny jeans and most of the other shit my friends were wearing, let alone just having a body structure that didn't really work with the whole thing. It was upsetting, but at least I had a semblance of self-awareness.
