the more beat the better, secondhand stores typically don't inflate prices too bad on good used denim jackets. pull on the seams to make sure it still has life. pre-90s levi/wrangler are typically very worth it, and wrangler's boxier cuts can lend themselves to a more modern silhouette, or make you look retarded.
