it might matter how many times "a couple times" really is. if they were broken in with someone elses feet, they don't really "break in" again to your feet. the shape of your feet and the subtleties in the way you walk will determine how a boot gets broken in and molded.

this board is such retards when it comes to docs

they're a staple, they transcend fads and scenes, they've been around since forever, they're good quality (mie), and pretty much every major bootmaker has a homage to the docs look in their repertoire somewhere; they're iconic
you might not like them, but calling them a "meme" just means you don't actually understand fashion

I never really understood why /fa/ has such a problem with docs. Especially when it's about the style and they recommend another brand that looks just the same but isn't a meme somehow. (Yee, I know they were original Martens and so. I don't care)

the made in china ones are made for fat americans with obese ankles.

Look for the made in england ones, preferably vintage (late 80s/early 90s) they are GOAT.

You know all these people who go on about wearing their docs 7 days a week for 20 years? that's because they bought them back in the 80s/90s, when they actually did a proper job.

in my experience, docs have been shit. I got these (Icon 7b10) for work and the leather cracked in a couple weeks, and the sole was smoothed off in less than 6 months. My colleagues who also wear these have had similar problems and they've even split. They are not built to last at all. We work in a warehouse on our feet for up to 10 hour shifts so we are hard on our boots but for the price we paid for them (we paid for these out of own pockets rather than use the shitty £15 shoes we were given) we expected far better.

This appears to be a trend for DMs now, ever since they moved production to China it has stopped being a staple workboot and more of a fashion statement.
